Last week I saw Pans Labyrinth and Nightmare Before Christmas 3-D back to back, which to me was a perfect double-bill.
What would be your perfect double-bill? No sequels to films in the same series though, eg not Star Wars and Empire Strikes Back etc

I caught one of the Stella Screenings at Somerset House in the summer - a double bill of Starship Troopers and Aliens. You really can't go wrong with either of those films in the line-up.

The French Connection and The Taking of Pelham 123 - two awesome 70's crime thrillers.

Predator and Cliffhanger. Two kick-ass action films where you can just sit back and enjoy.
If that fails there's also Lethal Weapon 2 and Die Hard.
Or even True Romance and The Last Boy Scout.
4 out of 6 of these films are produced by Joel Silver. Go figure.

Absolutely perfect!

I would actually love Spiderman 2 and Batman Begins, my favourite superhero movies.

Or maybe The Big Lebowski and Kingpin. That would rock.

Cuchulainn's choices are aweseome.
I'd have to go with...

Robocop and T2:JD
or
Taxi Driver and Goodfellas.

How about The Crow and Enter the Dragon for a father / son sort of theme.

I think I'll go for HARVEY (1950) and DONNIE DARKO (2003). I think you can guess the connecting theme here....

I went to a double bill at a local cinema a couple of years ago and watched "Memento" and "Vertigo" - complemented each other very well.

My own suggestions would be Donnie Darko and Twelve Monkeys if you want your mind bending a little (but not too much),

Escape to Victory and Shaolin Soccer, for pure unadulterated leave the house cheering with a massive smile on your face guilty pleasureness

Edit: (just a quick edit to say Donnie Darko theatrical cut, the directors adds nothing for me and the changes to the soundtrack were pointless)
