I popped into my local Cash Converters whilst out shopping yesterday and managed to grab three DVD's for a measily £3! They're second hand but in very good condition;

Commando
The Running Man
Mission to Mars

The Running Man is a film which I watched when I was a little kid and forgot all about, just watching it now - very 80's action flick but anything with Swarzenneger is always watchable!

Mission to Mars is another film which i''ve seen bits and pieces of, but not the whole film in one go. So I bought it out of curiosity - and being a big sci-fi fan. I must admit I rather enjoyed it, up until they meet the fake-ass CGI Alien that is! That just ruined everything. And the score by Morricone felt like it belonged in another film - a western perhaps. It was very unsuited to this film. I still derived some enjoyment from it though.

As for Commando - its one of my favourite 80-s flick! And Arnie is on fire! Love it! The score by Horner is pretty amazing too.

All in all a bargain for all three.

That Island of Death cover both makes me want to and puts me off wanting to see the film....
