With Spidey going up against Venom and Harry Osborn, Sam Raimi is hopefully going to deliver another masterpiece. Just diappointed that they've chosen to mess around with Sandman's storyline - didn't they learn anything from X3 and the Dark Pheonix aspect.

Looks pretty good. The image of Sandman is just as I remember him as a kid. And patcurley81, X3 didnt suffer because they messed around with comic storylines, it suffered because it was a paint by numbers badly directed cliche of a movie. The vast majority of viewers dont give a damn about comic plot continuity, they just want to see a cracking film. X1 + 2 were, X3 wasnt. Spidey 1+2 were and Im pretty confident Spidey 3 will be too.

 Im getting quite annoyed about the hype of this now. Don't get me wrong, I think it will be the best film of next year, but they are giving FAR too much away FAR too soon...
Lets remember the lesson we learnt from a certain much hyped Star Wars film. And is it me or is Venom too skinny?

Looks amazing and can't wait but I'm still not sure that we're going to see a lot of Venom (real Venom not black Spidey suit). The transformation scene with Brock, I bet, is the last scene of the movie. Smells to me like a two parter...

Now would that be absolute genius on Sony's part if they ended Spiderman 3 with a cliffhanger and then (just like Back to the Future 2) a preview for the final installment suddenly popped up or a 'To Be Concluded' banner?!

Or would it be absolute bobbins?

I'm still looking forward to this, I think they're smart enough to tease us but not spoil the film... I hope they are anyway.

 Pretty sure there won't be any prolonged views of Venom. Raimi has admitted he was added as an afterthought. It's gonna be a transformation and then "to be continued.....". I'd bet $1 million dollars on it........Wankers.

 It looks great as usual.  I'm not too worried about too much too soon being shown.  For me it just leads to the anticipation of the film.

I've been really hesitant about Spider-Man 3 until now! The first 2 were so good I was worried that Raimi was overcrowding part 3, like what happened in Batman.

But that image of Venom, Wow!!!.................He looks just like he should in my opinion.
There is no way they can fit Venom in to part 3 and do his story justice. It has got to be in the final reel that Brocks transformation occurs, leading on to Spider-Man 4 which should be Spider-Man v Venom. That is a whole movie in itself!!!

Definitely THE must see movie of 2007! Roll on next Summer!!!

Venom looked awesome! So is that for sure that venom is only part 4? I didnt even new there was a spiderman 4 announced! That would be amazing! What a stunt!

Listen eople VENOM IS IN THIS, 1) The 4 way battle royale ending at the contruction site can be clearly seen in the clips (the MJ car clip and the black webbing behind spidey) 2) no one knows the final run time spidey 1 was 2hrs the second was 2hrs 10ins so this could be a 2hrs 15/20min film. 3) Spidey may only wear the black suit for say an hour to hour an a half/ still leaves a good 30-40mins of venom time. 4) spidey 4 would be releaeed in 2010 with no toby/kirsten/franco or raimi so why leave a 3year gap for a to be continued film. 5) fans being hyped to see Venom for only 5mins (some of you think that) then wait 3 years to see the fights I DONT THINK SO. Raimi would'ntbe so loyal to the franchise to leave it like that. 6) Read the superhero issue of EMPIRE and read the interview the Raimi gave so there.

 Did you actually watch the clips?  there was loads of Venom related stuff in it, including the bell tower where they have that fight in the comics. Plus there was the clip of Topher Grace as Brock with some of the simbiant on him.  I think it's fairly obvious Venom is gonn afeature pretty highly.

who says the cats won't return for a 4th film... no one except a pumped up fan who loves the internet to muh. the film looks great, I'm hoping they'll be a huge fight and then after its all over, suddenly Venom turns up and they fight a little leaving it open for mor ein the next movie. seems likly, and I don't think Raimi would give up directing so easily.

Because they have obviously got the Hob Goblin and Sandman in this latest installment of Spiderman that the clip we see of Venom could infact be the last shot of the movie and then opens up to Spiderman 4 being about Venom vs Spidey??

Think about it though, an alien symbiote is pushing the reality a bit far anyway.  If he was the same size as he is in the comics, it might be a step too far.

I dont think it will be the last shot, he did go back and shot more action, so it could be a venom face off. and who's is the black webbing we see in the trailer?

if you slow the video down, or pause it at the right moment you can see venom, as he really is, not just the black webbing stuff. i did it!

 Saw the footage, getting very excited over this now, I don't like the original movie, liked the sequel a lot, but this one looks and sounds superb! The Venom milisecond looked the coolest, mainly because I wanted to see how they would do Venom in this and I really felt he looked cool. :)

Twasn't aimed at you....double  maybe with an added , it was aimed at the numpties who think that Venom isn't going to be in the film, when blantantly he is.  The "You" was more of a royal you.....
