Nice work Ninja.
Liking the Gothic sensibility of the piece.What Digital program did you use?, If you don't mind me asking.

@Quint

Great work as always Quint.
Liking the details,colours and the perspective of the work.Plus the scene really captures movement and action.

Great looking page OYE! I have taken a leaf out of your book and am currently working on a couple of comic book projects for some clients. Some sample pages below:

Great work as always Quint.
Having recently tried my hand again at doing comic art it can really become a struggle within itself at times.Patience really is the key with most art and comic strip/panel work is no exception.Like a movie its really about pacing a story and getting the right angle that portrays the narrative or speech bubbles.

Nice work to Rich.
Was that piece created full-on digital or was it mixed media ie traditional and digital ?
Nice use of the colours.

Here's a fairly old piece (early 2012).I would like to show something new but my Laptop playing up and once again I might be in the need of rebooting the (damn) thing.

Thanks OYE! Love the new page as well. I like the dramatic framing you do with the extreme closeups (the Joker one above, especially). Agree with the patience; that and planning are really key to making things work. Sadly, the b/w comic I am doing doesn't have time for planning so I am literally reading the script and just drawing what I hope, are decent looking panel compositions. I'm about 50-60 pages into it now so am starting to find my feet but it's been a challenge. This is going to be about 100-150 pages I think - out of interest, how long would you give yourself to work on a book that size? The colour comic has much more time for planning and the client has actually written out a detailed storyboard himself so that is very helpful.

Rich - looks great mate, is that a concept piece for a project or a personal drawing?

Just personal Quint, I doubt anyone wants to hire me looking at the talent out there

@OPEN it's a pencil drawing, the rest is digital. Can't get to grips with doing line art on a tablet.

Sorry I haven't replied to you Quint regarding your comic work.
I think it depends on how much time your client has given you,because sometimes you just cant put a time on certain things.
Like most self employed people you'll like to keep to your own schedule but considering the amount of work the client has given you I would gather he has his own sense of schedule to when you'll complete such a job."100-150 pages",that's a hell of alot of work for one self.I gather you'll be doing everything ie coloring,lettering and so fourth,to?.

Anyway,hope the work in general is going well

It is difficult.I'm currently doing some quick little digital doodles/sketches just to get used to my tablet again and I'm finding it a challenge.A good challenge,mind.I might show the doodles later.
But I do find that digital art is somewhat underrated in the overall Art medium,much in the same way that Comic/graphic art is to a degree.

@Nexus Wookie
Nice piece on Cthulu and I'm embarrassed to say I've never read a H.P Lovecraft novel.

Cheers mate! You really should try and read a few stories by the master of the macabre. I recommend At The Mountains of Madness and Call of the Cthulhu.

Penguin have a great collection of his short stories:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/0141187069/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1366460423&sr=8-1&pi=SL75

Which is a great place to start for beginners. Additionally you can get Mountain of Madness on Kindle too:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B006PKMMFU/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1366460574&sr=8-7&pi=SL75

I also saw a free download for said novel on Android Apps, don't know if its still there though.

Thanks for the info/links.Sorry for the late reply btw.
I see what I can find in my local Library or I may scout around a few local Charity shops,which I tend to like doing more and more nowadays.
