just thought that id let you good folk know that here in ireland we are ahead of you folks regarding season 3 of lost on rte 2 by about two weeks.so if you cant wait for your next fix and you can get rte 2 over there, watch it on that channel!

Doesn't really make much difference, just  means Ireland will go on the break sooner than Sky. Both RTE2 and Sky won't be able to show episode 7 till February.

I quite enjoyed that episode. Well, as much as I could for an episode that didn't have Sawyer in. Man, do I sound shallow. Anywho, I was absolutely terrified that Eko was dead after he'd finished talking to Locke. They can't kill him off. I said to myself I'd stop watching it if they killed Eko and Sawyer. Wouldn't be so bothered if they killed Jack. Though he is attractive, he doesn't half get on my nerves. I was glad to see Boone back- he was always one of my favourite characters.

While I remember- I was watching the first season a few weeks ago and I noticed something during the memorial service scene (going back a bit isn't it?). I'm certain that I heard Claire say Eko's name.

Just watched eps 1-3, I still have this feeling that all is not what it seems with Jack's dad. Does anyone think he might be on the island? I remember in season one, Jack followed what you assume was his ghost, but wasn't his coffin empty? I know the Others say they have seen his autopsy, but what if they are just messing with Jack? The other thing I am thinking though, maybe Jack killed him - Kate and Sawyer have murdered people and the Others specifically asked for those three to be brought to them. Maybe I am thinking too much!

Jacks Dad seems to be linked in some way to all of the survivors, he has shown up in several different characters flashbacks (Jacks (d'uh! ), Sawyers, Ana-Lucias, and I'm sure more)...

Interesting theory about them all being killers tho, and Hurley believed himself to have been a killer (tho he wasn't actually at fault).  Maybe Jack didn't kill his Dad, but possibly he has killed someone??  His wife's lover that he was so obsessed with in the flashback...?

That's an interesting theory, because I gues you could add Jin and Sun to that because they were both directly linked to the death of Sun's lover.

Kate & Sawyer directly pulled the trigger in their cases tho.  Sayid must have done at some point in the Republican guard.  Desmond killed the chappie in the hatch.  And then we got a flashback leaving it open as to whether Locke shoots someone dead....

Hmmm...

And Jack classed himself as responsible for his patient dying that time (the dad of the girl he kissed).

Eko killed a couple of guys since arriving on the island, and he must have also done so while he was a warlord...

Didn't Jack also finish off the agent escorting Kate when Sawyer screwed up shooting him??

That's a good theory. I think Boone tells Locke in season one that his nanny or something fell down the stairs and died because of him. I think her name was Teresa.
I haven't seen it for a while though. I don't think Shannon or Claire killed anyone but most of the survivors have!

The only reason Claire is on the island is because she chose not to kill (her baby!) it's true. Shannon just killed people cause she was so boring and when she got slightly intressting they killed her off so she could star in the fog...killing her carrer! god im good at this game!!

Quick question, how is Hurley still the size of a house? Is he still hoarding peanut butter and Mayo.

When are people going to get over his weight? It's gettin really old now. I don't understand why, even if there wasn't a vague explanation as to why he isn't losing weight quick, people care so much about it. It seems to be the biggest criticism from anyone who doesn't like the show "how come that fat guy is still fat", as if that's the most important thing going on on the island.

That wasn't a rant aimed at anyone in particular.

Erm..... I was kidding hence the big grinny smiley at the end. Jeez lighten up.

oooo Lucky you, however we can't get RTE over here and usually there's a very good reason for that.

Is it just me or is Irish TV just awful? I lived in Dublin for a year so I think I know what I'm talking about when I say that.
most of the time it IS rubbish alright.the only coup rte has is that they have always been the most up to date regarding lost but while they used to be on par with sky one as far as showing 24 is concerned they are very slow to show it now.i watch 24 on sky now

If we're going with not actually killing someone but being linked to their death (as a few people on the island are) Jack chose to help Sarah rather than Shannons dad and he died.

Last night't episode was pretty good, much better than last weeks but not as good as the opening episodes. Loved the ending, even if most already assumed there were two islands it was still cool to finally see it.

I enjoyed last nights episode, it wasn't as good as last weeks but I liked it.
Sawyer's flashbacks are always interesting and we found out another secret about Sawyer, he has a daughter. I wonder if that will be the focus of any other Sawyer flashbacks, maybe we'll start to see a different side to him.

I kinda guessed that The Other's didn't really put that pacemaker in Sawyer's heart, I thought they might be lying at first then when they had to get Jack to do surgery I knew they must be playing games with Sawyer. Can't wait for next weeks episode, I'm really enjoying this season so far.

This week's was interesting but not as good as they have been. Is the series slowing down already?

Can't get enough of Sawyer in the show. Loved the scene where Kate told that guy she loved him then said she didn't really.

The whole thing with The Others getting so angry that one of theirs was killed by the Survivors was so well done. They seem to so conveniently forget what they've done themselves in the past!!

Didn't like the flashbacks at all though. Didn't really feel they added anything much Sawyer as a character but maybe something more will come of them in episodes to come.

I though that about the pace maker. I thought hmmmm how exactly does one insert a pacemaker using a giant needle? Also the scar on his chest wasn't big enough for that.
How skinny must Kate be to fit through those bars?  They don't realise the others are watching them on tv do they?

Great also to see the 2 Islands. Ah woo hoo

I think they were just saying pacemaker as a way of explaining how it works, all they claimed to have done was insert a small explosive near his heart that was linked to the heart rate monitor on his wrist.  I don't really get why they told him it wasn't true so quickly tho, it clearly worked to keep him in line...

I've always found Sawyer's flashbacks a bit flaky since the first couple establishing that he is a con man and why, they haven't really added anything since.  Also found that it broke the illusion a little that he looked exactly the same in this flashback as he does in the present, instead of his slicker look (yes, I know it is because he was in prison, but still)....

I thought this week's episode was quite weak apart from the reveal at the end which came as a surprise to me.  What Kate and Sawyer did and didn't do didn't make sense to me; obviously they were being watched, run and get help etc

Think my Sky dish got blown around last weekend and I keep losing signal now, so I might end up cancelling my subscription.  Might wait and see if 24 can hook me in, something I thought Lost would do but hasn't really yet.

Also, notice the number on Sawyer's jail suit thingy (428). I think they're just putting the numbers whenever they get the chance even though they probably don't mean a damn thing, especially now the hatch is gone.
I personally think that the woman was lying about having Sawyer's daughter and she did it to try and get money out of him. That's probably denial though.

Fantastic episode, as well as being the most frustrating episode yet.

Quite how the writers decided it would be a good idea to kill Eko I don't know, but in a way I am relieved because he will go down in Lost history as being the greatest character ever on the island without getting annoying (was anyone else finding Locke the tiniest bit annoying tonight?). Secondly, thank god he got the send off he deserved. The flashback was one of the best yet of any Season, and then as he died and we saw him and his brother as kids, was one of those moments that makes you realise that while the show is full of mysteries and "wtf?" moments, it's the character and heart that make it the best show on TV.

Also, who the hell is eyepatch man?!

Best episode of the season so far I thought.

I think it's a good idea to include more of the survivors. (the blonde woman and dark haired man who's names I haven't caught yet). I've always thought it looked a bit silly to have lots of people on the beach not getting involved or seeming to care about what's going on.

Nikki and Paulo I believe.

I think it's a great idea to introduce some new survivors (although they're going to want to be doing this by Season 6 or so, so they shouldn't be using the "go and get involved" excuse!). The problem is, both of them seem really annoying so far! It might just be initial character annoyance (I never got that with Mr Eko!), but they both just made me go argh!

Last nights episode was amazing. I can't believe Eko died, I thought he was such an interesting character. I really didn't expect him to be killed off.
I liked the scenes with Jack and The Others as well, I don't think he would kill Henry/Ben, then again I can never know what to expect with Lost.

And who was that guy on the tv screen in the hatch?

The whole "video plot" thing has got to be a trick of some kind, unless the blonde Other (can't remember her name) just really, really, hates Benjamin.

A real shame to have lost Eko so early on - I hope the writers haven't shot themselves in the foot with this.
