The Light at the End of the World. Top piratey action from god knows when back (early 70s probably), with one of the most heinous skinnings alive ever committed to film. Even the predator would have gone "sweet Jesus"

I thought D-War was awful, despite some impressive FX.

Fair enough. Doesn't make it any less shite though

The posters make it look amazing, I'll give it that.

I'm not usually one to step in, but please, for the love of all that's holy, stay away from D-Wars, Dragon Wars or whatever else it may call itself in order to get by the negative reviews and word of mouth that it has generated.

Pretty much 'sung', but for those subtitle snobs: you're missing out.  Although it has scares (bloody good ones) it's not strictly a horror film; more of a tragic drama.

Stranger Than Fiction - Will Ferrell, Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson IN THE SAME MOVIE!!! Just think about how that might work. Brilliant, brilliant unsung gem, forgotten before it left the cinemas.

I'm quoting this again simply because this post is all the way back on page 15, and this movie needs all the love it can get - almost the definitive 'un-sung gem'. Get it watched!

'Office Space' (Mike Judge, 20th Century Fox, 1999)

No 'Apatow-Pack' film has touched it. Not that anyone cares, but it changed my life, made me move my job.

I love this movie so much....also

A really good movie that reminds me off the horror of my brief stint in sales at a pharmaceutical company

Great shout... hell of a cast back then but it seems to have cursed most of them - Vin Diesel, Ben Affleck, Giovanni Ribisi, Jamie Kennedy, even Ron Rifkin - as they seem to have been or are currently in the doldrums.

Funny that...all their careers took nose dives. The only one who has sort of recovered is Ben Affleck. Shame to as it was a great ensemble cast and it really was is a gem of a movie

seconded, but loses it's comic touch the second time around....

i might actually watch it now, i havent seen it in so long.

EDIT:

just watched it again... i still like it... the CG is abit weak, but thats years of society expectation with regards to CG. the script is actually reall sharp, as is the pacing...and the score is a highlight too.

She's in an episode or two of Beverley Hills 90210.  If memory serves, she's a teenage mother who goes back to school.

An amusing comedy thriller with a nice turn from Bill Pullman as the dysfunctional detective with servere mental issues although Stiller is just there toplay the straight man.
