Finally, a forum to discuss huge trousers.

What do you mean thats not what its for? [sm=huh.gif]

Sahara Desert -> RE: What Is Mammoth Threads? (4/11/2005 12:01:16 AM)

I always took 'threads' in a clothing sense to mean clothes in general, not just trousers and associated assorted legwear on their own.

I have no problem with these threads being here but I was just wondering what the actual complaints were?

Krazy_Beyootiful -> RE: What Is Mammoth Threads? (4/11/2005 12:04:47 PM)

The complaints were basically that the number of very large threads in OT were making it hard to use for other members for a number of reasons. Firstly they are all replied to very frequently and this can push smaller but equally worthy threads down the page. Secondly they take up a lot of space on the front page of Off-Topic and make it hard to find the smaller threads amongst them. Thirdly the sheer number of giant threads can be very intimidating to newer members who might prefer to start posting in a slightly less established thread.

This way the threads remain but OT becomes a more user-friendly forum. Not only that but it's easier to find your favourite long running thread because you don't have to search the OT main page. Everybody wins. [:D]

Hope that helps Bubba. [:)]

Hoon -> RE: What Is Mammoth Threads? (4/11/2005 12:17:57 PM)

Thank Christ for that! Thank you Mr & Mrs Moderators!!

Not that there's anything wrong with these threads but they can be very intimidating and 'cliquey' to new members. And anyone else actually!!

Perhaps it should be renamed 'The Clique Forum'?! [sm=zwinker25.gif]

Bubba -> RE: What Is Mammoth Threads? (4/11/2005 12:18:46 PM)

Just because she was a bit hairy doesn't mean she was a mammoth.

What did I do now?

AgentGoth -> RE: What Is Mammoth Threads? (9/11/2005 8:39:18 AM)

I think Mikey C was looking for a scapegoat, specifically with a name that began with 'A' and 'L', and you were one of the ones he thought of.

I think it's terrible that he blamed you, when it's quite clearly the dastardly work of Starscream and Izzy.[;)]

The2ndRing -> RE: What Is Mammoth Threads? (9/11/2005 9:58:02 AM)
