Out of his 11 league games he only picked up 5 wins, against Stoke, Villa, Wigan, QPR and a relegated Blackburn it's hardly sparkling. Lucky to keep the job on the back of a fortunate cup win and it was clear they didn't want to give it him.

I really don't think they'd need the fans to tell them that he's unpopular! And no, it's not going to help they players want to play for him. I'd imagine it's going to take a hell of a lot for them to want play for him. Mata not starting last night is not going to help. And I know it's only been two games, one of which was against City, but he's already stifled the creative element it seems. There were obvious flaws but there'd been some pretty good football played on the whole. So this is, I think, the worst decision RA has ever made.

And those that were, I doubt they care that much considering the way they've acted some of the time.

It seems slightly ironic talking of Chelsea fans as impatient and spoilt when this is surely the trait of the owner who will sack any manager if they don't win the PL and CL every season while playing beautiful football with a striker of his choosing who can't deliver any more. I'm not a fan of booing, but I think its a sign of how disenfranchised fans who go to games are becoming with how their team is run. IMO they are mostly realising that their input to the club via season tickets and concession stand purchases is becoming pocket change compared to TV revenues, sponsorship opportunities and overseas replica shirt sales. In that type of environment, I can start to see how booing becomes a way that the fans can vent their frustrations with the club set up. Although, like marching from a pub they were going to anyway, to a game they were going to anyway, it doesn't seem to carry any weight. I think it would also be clear to the players what the issue was from the fans, rather than the team being booed off at half time because they were not winning (which really is crass and I'm sure has happened at Chelsea this season). Its an interesting game tomorrow lunch time. Big Sam tends to play deep when he faces the big teams. This gives Chelsea options and they should be favourites, but Rafa now has reigned in the runs of Ramires and also given more defensive duties to Hazard. Torres still looks like he'd rather be anywhere than on a football pitch and for some reason Rafa prefers to sit Mata on the bench or wide rather than in the middle of the park where he should be. I think Big Sam will gift Rafa his first win, but do think that West Ham could come out of this with much more if they go after Chelsea.

The team on the other hand, well, it didn't exactly help them, did it? A home support baying for (their own) blood is always going to distract the players and get to them regardless of who it's aimed at.
