ORIGINAL: Johnny Pneumonia quote:
The Aviator is the best of Martin Scorcese's many great films. The Shining is by far the worst film by Stanley Kubrick. Terminator 3 and The Godfather 3 are the most entertaining of their respective trilogies. Gimli, you should be made to feel considerable pain [:)] I can take it [:D] quote:
ORIGINAL: Johnny Pneumonia The Blair Witch Project is one of the greatest horror films of all time. [sm=happy34.gif] quote:
ORIGINAL: Hardcore Raver Jackie Brown is QT's best film The Harry Potter films are all pretty good Green Street and Football Factory are both good films The Jurassic Park sequels were both very entertaining Pirates of the Caribbean was an excellent blockbuster, and not just because of Jonny Depp's performance Keira Knightly isn't actually a bad actress Orlando Bloom isn't actually a bad actor Can't argue with any of these quote:
ORIGINAL: Amelie_Scotland *M Night Shyamalan is one of the best writers/directors working today *The Village is an underrated romantic drama and a beautiful film. Very true. I couldn't believe teh amount of stick that The Village recieved. All of his films so far have been wonderful quote:
ORIGINAL: Bruce Wayne X-men 3 was a fantastic film. Michael Bay is really a very good director Yep. X-Men 3 was just as entertaining as the first 2, and I've enjoyed all of Bay's films. quote:
ORIGINAL: furrybastard A.I. is quite possibly Spielberg's best film and will be seen as a sci-fi mastepiece in the years to come. Hulk is a good film and the short attention span of an audience is not grounds for criticism of the film itself. Mr. and Mrs. Smith is a fun, enjoyable action film. The Lord of the Rings triloy was a massive achievment and will be remembered and enjoyed for years to come. They deserve all the praise that they get even if Jackson's succeeding films never reach the same level. There is nothing wrong with sentimentality or happy endings in films. Batman Returns is better than Batman. All good stuff. A.I. might not be Spielbergs best, but it is brilliant. Good to see someone else stick up for LOTR, especially as it's become more fashionable to criticise not just the films, but also the people who like them. quote:
ORIGINAL: Naweed_1 Gigli aint as bad as the critics said it was, it's a solid two star film. I'll go one better and give it 3. A few more of mine: Nicholas Roeg has yet to make a film that is better than "just alright". The Witches is his best so far. Don't Look Now never lives up to its central, ideas and the less said about Walkabout the better. In fact,. the best thing Roeg ever did was an episode of The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles The 3 best French films are Jean de Florette, Manon des sources and Amelie. Nothing else comes close. Forrest Gump did deserve it's Oscar win over Pulp Fiction. Toy Story and Babe are the 2 best films of 1995. The Omen is much better than The Exorcist. I've been more scared shopping in Asda than watching The Exorcist. Suspiria and Rosemary's Baby aren't all that special in the slightest. Big Trouble In Little China is a complete and utter waste of time. The Evil Dead films have never been, nor will ever be, life-changing masterpieces. They pass the time well enough, make you laugh, scare you a bit, and are instantly forgettable.
