Bloke from Oz -> RE: The Best Bond Film? (22/12/2012 9:51:01 AM)

I just re-watched Moonraker and enjoyed it immensely; don't understand the hate/dislike for it. Sure, it's unbelievable and far removed from Ian Fleming's ideals, but then so are some of the other films in the Bond canon.

It's grand and entertaining popcorn fare, period.

Finally watched the Top Gear Bond special - was pretty good, although you quickly realise that they struggled to come up with more than three examples of a "Bond" car - heck they skipped right over most of Bronson and could only offer Die Another Day as an example.

Hood_Man -> RE: The Best Bond Film? (27/12/2012 4:34:53 PM)

Didn't they mention the car from Tomorrow Never Dies? I seem to recall another of these Bond Car Programmes from a few years back, that took every car and discussed whether the technology installed would be possible in real life, and apparently it was one of the few that could realistically be achieved.

They did...but only to slag it off.

Hood_Man -> RE: The Best Bond Film? (27/12/2012 6:01:24 PM)

Didn't want to watch it anyway [image]http://fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/159/e/b/sulking_smiley_by_mirz123-d3idh0g.gif[/image]

spark1 -> RE: The Best Bond Film? (28/12/2012 10:17:24 AM)

shame hammond skipped over the car action in OHMSS and surprised he did not interview renny julliene as he choreographed the 80s car stunts mentioned.
