Timon -> RE: Rainbow Six (24/5/2006 10:03:56 AM)

I think now that Craig is Bond he's too much of a star to sidelined as Weber.

MR T's GOLD CHAINS -> RE: Rainbow Six (9/6/2006 6:44:30 AM)

How about John Leuigiziamo as Ding Chavez? he was excellent as a special ops guy in Executive Decision.
or what about Cliff Curtis? He's a Kiwi I know, but he played a great Latino guy in Training Day.
John Clark...thats a toughie...in the book he's like 60 - but Hollywood's been known to break the rules on this
sort of shit...what about Clooney? He's got that badass-and-I'll-command everyone persona.
Paul Bettany as Deiter Webber! He looks German, he may have to bulk up a bit - but I reckon he'd do a fine job.

kennedy -> RE: Rainbow Six (9/6/2006 9:00:37 AM)

Why do people insist that John Clark is an action hero?
In the book John Clark is ready to hang up his anti-terrorism gloves and is described
as not being as fit as he used to be BUT he does run things back at 'command' with
precision.
The action hero is Chavez!!
A rethink is needed here for who should fit the bill for Clark......I HAVEN'T GOT A CLUE!!!

Darth Lex -> RE: Rainbow Six (12/6/2006 10:25:09 AM)

I'd prefer to watch Splinter Cell movie. Filming Tom Clancy's book is hard but quite interesting thing

themessiah -> RE: Rainbow Six (13/6/2006 1:06:45 AM)

I remeber there were plans for this years ago.

Darth Lex -> RE: Rainbow Six (15/6/2006 10:08:10 AM)

Yes, everybody has forgotten about it[:(]

themessiah -> RE: Rainbow Six (16/6/2006 9:23:39 PM)

And has everyone forgot that Willem Dafoe played John Clark in Clear and Present Danger??????!!!!

themessiah -> RE: Rainbow Six (16/6/2006 9:24:14 PM)

I think Dafoe could possibly still do it... he's the right age..

somara1972 -> (4/8/2006 10:15:47 AM)

How long do we have to wait!! I read this book 7 years ago and I still recommed it now. It tottally rocks. I have my reservations that it will make a good film as so much happens. But a big Hollywood 10 part series would definately do it justice!!

Timon -> RE: (30/11/2006 8:26:12 PM)

Well Synder is going to do Watchmen, Woo has dropped it....consider it officially put on hold.

mrdoom14 -> RE: RE: (4/12/2006 10:24:45 AM)

This might be good, Ive played the games before and they could makea great entertaining film if done with the right dialoge.

jenzie -> RE: RE: (4/12/2006 11:36:05 PM)

john woo wouldn't be suited for this, as it's more a slow build-up, not an out-and-out actioner, with very little actual gunplay!

should go to a frankenheimer-type director

Ghidorah -> RE: RE: (6/12/2006 12:48:19 PM)

Hopefully the new Rainbow Six game sell well and get those bloody producers into gear.

Hamsterwalt -> (17/9/2008 3:55:52 PM)

Fuck Yeah

Timon -> RE: (21/12/2008 6:21:13 PM)

I don't think this is ever going to get made, which is a shame. If Paramount are insistent on resurrecting the Ryan franchise, I think they should seriously consider doing a Clarke/Chavez franchise within it. Introduce them and perhaps do Rainbow Six as a spinoff....

Get Liev Schreiber back as Clarke OR if they're going older...John C. McGinley?

Perhaps Sucre from Prison Break as Chavez? Ideally, I'd want Raymond Cruz back from Clear And Present Danger but I think he's too old now... pity.

For the rest of 'Six', there's so many talented British and American actors, that's it would simply just turn into a list but currently I'm picturing most of Easy Company from Band of Brothers... just in modern day assault gear.

James2183 -> RE: RE: (22/12/2008 11:08:25 AM)

Carlos Bernard for Chavez! [:D]

Timon -> RE: Rainbow Six (22/12/2008 5:42:05 PM)

Too old maybe? How about Freddie Rodriguez (Planet Terror, Scrubs etc)? Ding is meant to be a short-arse...

James2183 -> RE: Rainbow Six (22/12/2008 7:19:32 PM)

See I originally thought of Freddie too, but I think he might be just a little too short for the role and doesn't seem to sport that badass 'I could fuck you up with my little finger' look. I don't think age would be too much of a problem as long as they don't look too old. Antonio Banderas could possibly pull the look off.

JV -> RE: Rainbow Six (22/12/2008 7:34:00 PM)

So this isn't a film about buses? Here in Nottingham we have Rainbow 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5 (although 5 has just been rebranded 'Indigó') so I thought maybe this was about some sort of 6th dimension of bus routes.

No?

I'll get me coat....
