luvinfilms -> wow (17/2/2006 4:10:05 PM)

the Helm's Deep battle has to be one of the best film-battles EVER!

premierbaron -> Bored of the rings already.... (25/3/2006 5:01:43 PM)

After loving the first movie, i was expecting much from the second. However, it never seemed to hit the mark. With a less interesting story and plot, you find yourself wondering when this movie will end.

alexisreaver2132 -> masterpiece (16/5/2006 9:51:26 AM)

The middle of the trilogy is just as amazing as the first and the last instalment! The extended one again is awesome with more scenes with saruman and wormtongue.

huny_monster -> (11/6/2006 11:05:07 AM)

Just terrible. Puts Peter Jackson to shame.

shitmovie -> BORING (1/9/2006 2:42:03 AM)

I thought this movie was the worst out of the trilogy. Very slow untill the end and then it was quite a normal fight. It was really just a runner up to the Return of the King

Richy T -> (21/9/2006 11:24:23 PM)

Easily my favourite of the trilogy, maybe because its the film most changed from the book so its the most cinematic! Gollum is fantastic and Serkis should have atleast got an oscar nomination and the battle of helmsdeep was, and still is the greatest largescale use of CGI, other movies, including return of the king felt too artificial and without weight.

kumar -> RE: (10/10/2006 5:03:48 PM)

whats the difference between this edition and the 4 disc sets? seems pointless does that

travel_crazy -> RE: The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers (10/10/2006 5:20:18 PM)

The Two Towers is just ahead of The Fellowship of the Ring as my favourite installment of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

boot -> RE: The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers (10/10/2006 5:46:36 PM)

bar some unavoidable cheese, its my favorite of the 3. helms deep is just rediculously class. as is gollum. some of the best use of big scale CGI ive seen

evil bill -> RE: The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers (10/10/2006 6:01:14 PM)

The battle of helms deep was the best of the three as far as battle scences go.But Fellowship is still my favourite of the three,more so because it was the first movie in a long time to make my jaw hit the floor.But i still give all three exstended editions 10/10 just a classic trilgoy ONE RING TO RULE THEM ALL!

wackojacko -> RE: The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers (13/10/2006 8:41:07 PM)

Always been my favourite of the three. The extended version made it even more amazing.

juanvasquez -> RE: The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers (16/10/2006 9:46:31 PM)

Totally loved this. The relationship between Gollum, Sam and Frodo was fantastic. And the battle of Helms Deep, just breathtaking. I've just ordered the extended trilogy so I cant wait to sit down and watch it again (although Return Of The King doesn't really need to be much longer!)

Fade to Black 411 -> (27/7/2007 4:44:24 PM)

worst of the trilogy and too slow for my liking

Marty5 -> (11/8/2007 8:46:08 PM)

Great film but could have upped the pace a bit.

Big Alex -> (15/8/2007 9:48:17 AM)

The worst in the trilogy, and by far the most boring, but still go and see this, but leave your thought's by saying to yourself this could of been sooo much better, but it fel's rushed and ruined. The story's all over the place and the action dimm's very much so in the 2nd installement.

With a three satr rating from me, i expected there to be more action and a less trippy windy mess of the plot.

shool -> RE: The Lord Of The Rings: The Two Towers (3/9/2007 3:15:08 PM)

Awesome.

bobbyperu -> (24/10/2007 11:16:41 PM)

golum is amazing

jomo999 -> The Weakest of the trilogy (27/10/2007 2:50:24 PM)

And stil incredible.

Troopeford -> Amazing (16/11/2007 5:06:37 PM)

I love this film so much, that I cant see why anyone could possibly dislike it, unless you're very impatient and can't handle sitting through 3 hours of one part of one of the best franchises in history, but then again, everyone likes different things

gervox -> (7/10/2008 9:53:11 AM)

I loved this at the time,but on reflection,it is by far the weakest of the trilogy.
Why?I can only surmise that Jackson,My compatriot and our countries most visionary director, simply buckled under stress!.He is an avid collector of World War One memorabillia,so you might think he would have some respect for an actual human being that lived and fought though those times and gave us an eduring myhology to boot!.Sadly this was not so.
He completely disregarded the talent of a vet who fought in that war, by claiming to have "Improved" on his writing.That to me is the stark raving of an utter mad man,especially when you realise that his improvements consist of fart jokes, and an imaginarary horse kissing a "much improved" air to the kingdom of men.weird bear/hyenas instead of the real world wolves, incerted for the sake of a minor and short liuved god of Toy-dom, and omiting many, many better scences for the sake of lame comedy and a bit of CGI.

!xHoTRoDx! -> Not as good as the first (21/12/2008 3:36:49 PM)

Or the third. But that doesn't stop it being watchable. It's definetely bigger than the first in terms of entertainment but not in terms of movie magic. The Helm's Deep battle sequence is brilliantly made though.

kris9209 -> Lord Of The Ring (29/7/2009 11:08:39 PM)

AMAZING

vermin101 -> (13/9/2009 10:40:31 AM)

In my opinion the best in the trilogy

vermin101 -> (13/9/2009 10:40:35 AM)

trainedasninja -> Excellant Sequel, different yet holding its own Strengths (30/7/2011 12:03:31 PM)

I don't think someone could say that one Lord of the Rings film is better than the other as each have their own strengths. Two Towers is certainly different to Fellowship but is brilliant in so many other ways and is my personal favourite of the series. It conjures more emotion, more triumph and more suspense. Also holds a greater focus on human behaviour which I love with some awesome new characters. All rounded my Sam's Speech at the end which gives the film the greatest ending of the series. You would almost cheer.

silence1 -> (15/6/2012 1:17:48 PM)

The second installment of the lord of the rings trilogy unfolds in epic action everyone can love. Welcome back to Middle Earth its time for more and prsonnaly like Terminator 2 this film defies the original rule and is by far better than the Fellowship of the ring. War breaks out and its time to party because the battles amazing and full of awesome action so the Hobbit better be good. I give this movie a 5.
