crayon -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (29/6/2006 12:03:04 PM)

I'm curious about birthday avatars - several of my friends have birthdays that double up.  Would we be allowed to make special one-off birthday AVs that are double the regular size, so as to not sell either person short on their special day?

Krazy_Beyootiful -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (29/6/2006 4:09:03 PM)

You would indeed be allowed to do that, as it's only for one day. Celebrate away. [:)]

crayon -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (29/6/2006 4:12:44 PM)

Woo-hoo! [sm=w00t.gif]

I have no vested interest in this as I absolutely do not share my birthday with another forumite...nuh-uh, not me [sm=augen14.gif]

Krazy_Beyootiful -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (29/6/2006 4:15:27 PM)

This is an impressively subtle way of requesting a birthday AV Cray [:D]

lulu karma -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (29/6/2006 4:15:28 PM)

Yeah, party on, but don't get as crazy as these guys...

crayon -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (29/6/2006 4:27:33 PM)

I'll try not to, Lu [:D]

I was proud of my subtlety there!  I did it 4 months and 6 days in advance as well, so that it seemed slightly less mercenary.

Yes, I count down the days until my birthday. [sm=augen14.gif]

UrbanAngel -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (29/6/2006 4:43:50 PM)

jim.od2001 -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (6/8/2006 8:26:39 PM)

Haha I rule, it took me fooking ages to make avatar fit into 150kb, in the end I just shrunk everything within the hxw limits and cut out some slides, and I'm 125Kb spare, if I still had the time I'd extend it to it's orignal amount of slides, I did have 25slides, and cut it down to 11.

God I spent weeks doing that bastard, I'm so happy I'm within the limits,

lulu karma -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (3/9/2006 8:52:44 PM)

Well, you can start by looking in Make Me An Avatar located here:

http://www.empireonline.com/forum/tm.asp?m=1276

That's where people find things out and sometimes, even a kind soul will make you one.  If you give them a lot of cash.

La Magnetique fields -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (19/9/2006 7:14:21 PM)

Some forums have no avatars. Instead, they have control over that little thing under their username what on here might have something like Nino in Trading or Forum Elder.
The star system has to go and avatars should be cut right back to 50 50 or less than 2000bytes. some forums have auto avatar adjustments. perhaps Empire should invest a bit of money in upgrading the entire forum. Once you have done it, it will have been worth it. Also smilies, cut them out to the basics, sad, happy, confused, bored etc.

phaeton -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (3/10/2006 1:18:54 PM)

Is Kid A not a mod anymore? Have just seen he/she's not green :(

Monkeyshaver -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (9/10/2006 11:36:35 AM)

While on the subject of avatars mine has been changed twice, without my permission I might add, & I have been informed by the estate of the late great Willie Rushton that they wish his visage to be returned to its rightful place as my avatar.Thank you.

Beatrice Kiddo -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (16/10/2006 12:48:55 PM)

Is there anyway of resizing my avatar so it doesn't look so fuzzy? [sm=51.gif]

Captain Black -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (16/10/2006 1:19:09 PM)

Monkeyshaver: Go into your settings and make sure the My avatar option has the Enter URL option selected. Fingers crossed, that should sort it.

Beatrice Kiddo: Try here: http://www.empireonline.com/forum/tm.asp?m=1276. It's no the size, it's the aspect ratio that's the problem.

The_Hat -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (30/11/2006 7:52:12 PM)

Are you people talking English? Uploading my bandwidth into my avatar's URL? I don't understand. It's all making me feel very old. My leg hurts...

Woger -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (14/12/2006 12:57:22 PM)

Can I have sound on my avatar?

evil bill -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (8/3/2007 6:14:05 PM)

I've had a number of go'es at changing my avatar too one of my own pictures but no luck, just ca'nt get it to upload.Any chance you wonderful moderaters could change it to a nasty scene out of A L I E N or SUSPIRIA.

rikkie -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (9/3/2007 12:35:46 PM)

Due to constant flouting of this very very serious crime, all avs will now be amended in a name and shame process, allowing everyone to point and laugh at you.

Wedge -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (9/3/2007 12:36:26 PM)

I'm not sure that I appreciate my new av.  It's a bit rude and insulting, as warnings go, for what was a genuine and innocent mistake.  [sm=indifferent08.gif]  Fuck it, I'm keeping it.

I'm sorry but this is rubbish, until all the mods have avs of the correct filesize why should we? Surely you mods should lead by example, I and many others have told Clownfoot that his av is over the limit yet it's not changed. And he doesn't have one of the numpty avatars either.

Ok, I don't know why I'm making a fuss as I don't really care, but it's a good point.

And I hope you mods don't have access to edit my Av how I would, as that also means you have access to my name and address etc, which as far as I'm aware is a breach of our rights when we signed up.

Felix -> RE: Avatar Amnesty. ALL USERS READ ME. (9/3/2007 12:45:46 PM)

He is leading by example.

We havent told him that yet though... [:D]

I've changed mine to one of rikkie's other creations.  I hope this is acceptable.
