The Flaming Lips, "Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots"  This album passed me by when it came out because I dismissed it as too college rock for my tastes. I never took the time to check them out. And why the hell not? This is a wonderful listening experience, mellow and yet never dull, trippy but coherant, packed with melodies.

Buck 65, "Talking Honky Blues" Just bought it this afternoon and haven't given it a proper listen. The only other album I own by Buck is his latest, "Secret House Against The World" which is fantastic. Can't wait to submerge myself into the stories he creates.

I brought the Thumbsucker album for Christmas so I've been in a Polyphonic Spree induced state of dreamy for about three weeks now! The Elliot Smith covers have been perfectly slotted into the Spree's material. My next soundtrack hunt is going to be for the Everything is Illuminated soundtrack I think and then Euros Childs solo album.

i always have so much money after Christmas (not as a gift) because I get paid  so i can buy all the stuff i want that i didn't get for Christmas, and any debts i have to pay off are overlooked.

veneer is a very laid back album, Give up hasnt a bad song on it, i listen to it all the way through over and over which is rare i usually skip songs. Its sort of electro emo in a way. Illinois is just amazing from start to finish also, some great tracks listen to the teases at amazon incase u dont like it.

    The last albums i bought was The essential collection - Small Faces and The Jam - Compact snap.

They were cheap and all my vinyl is locked in a garage waiting for me to get my act together and find a place to live
