Oroborous -> YES. (10/12/2013 6:26:31 PM)

Sadly I will be unable to actually watch the film when it comes out, because shortly after typing this comment the impact of this trailer will cause my head to explode.

Wow that trailer actually looked cool. and Bryan Cranston is in it which is always a bonus!

kielerkai -> Wow, nice! (10/12/2013 8:25:19 PM)

Looks even more awesome than expected!!!

Filmfan 2 -> (10/12/2013 8:48:26 PM)

That was one of the best trailers I've seen for a while. Not sure what the final product will be like, of course, but that baits the viewer very nicely indeed, and it doesn't give any money shots away.

bdeji -> Cool (10/12/2013 10:57:46 PM)

Now that's how to make a trailer, bring it on

Little given away - what's the big deal (yet)? Plus, this should be set in Japan :(

Are you having a laugh? 'What's the big deal'? Did you not see that massive monster in the trailer? That was Godzilla, son. It doesn't matter in the slightest where this is set. It could be set in Abergavenny. It's God. Freaking. Zilla.

Nicky C -> F*ck Yeah (11/12/2013 10:01:40 AM)

Godzilla vs. Heisenberg? You're going down, lizard!

Silvio Mugabe -> Meh!? (11/12/2013 11:30:56 AM)

Pacific Rim looked better... AND IS!

I agree with all of the above. That is all I have to say about the subject.

a_man_and_his_monkey -> GOJIRA!! (11/12/2013 12:53:36 PM)

I preferred the teaser with the Oppenheimer voiceover but love the way they're not giving too much away. Looks great!

Arfpint -> Nice trailer, but do we need to HOORAH? (11/12/2013 1:28:14 PM)

I'll only watch this if he lives at the end.

Litshttam -> RE: RE: (11/12/2013 1:40:47 PM)

There was a massive monster in the trailer for the '98 Godzilla. Your point?

johnamazon62 -> I saw the movie (11/12/2013 2:13:12 PM)

To watch the movie here : http://hdmovies.mooo.com/godzilla/

Hahahaha You are joking right. Pacific Rim was crap.

Alex M... -> Yes (11/12/2013 3:37:37 PM)

yes this looks good so far...a fresh approach to a tired formula (destruction, prevailing etc) halo jump sequence looks well designed.

That wasn't Godzilla. It was just an ill concieved, visually and aesthetically pathetic cartoon with barely any resemblance of Godzilla. No one watched a trailer for that film and saw Godzilla, surely?
My point is that I believe what I saw in this trailer was in fact Godzilla. Maybe it was just a trick of the eye, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure he was there, appearing to be both visually and aesthetically incredible, as Godzilla ideally should.

Pacific Rim wasn't allowed to use Tokyo because both Tokyo and Japan play a big part in the Godzilla film. Also I saw at least three scenes in the trailer set in Japan.
