Well done, to prove your point you basically highlighted a bunch of things that have been present in literature and films for years. You're really reaching there. As for the rip-off thing, The Hunger Games may well elicit comparisons to Battle Royale, but that was hardly original to begin with.

At least it's better than having almost constant superheroes on the covers. But looking at the archive it's mostly just the biggest and widely anticipated films of the year and the cover stars. And, err, Megan Fox.
