Varkko Stush -> World Gone Mad (12/7/2013 6:32:49 PM)

A man sells you his product, tells you it will make you money. You sell it on and make $33 MILLION dollars. He offers you his next project, you politely decline. Somebody else takes the product, sells it, makes $75 MILLION dollars. The man offers out his third product - no takers.

Hollywood is fcking crazy.

To be fair, when you factor in marketing and distribution costs, the films barely broke even.

You usually need to double a movie's budget to cover marketing and distribution. So both of them made little to no money.

What a sad world were a franchise with such potential and talent is left by the wayside, while money is poured again and again into Transformers and Pirates of the Carribean.

tokin5000 -> Hmmm (14/7/2013 7:46:59 AM)

A 3rd one, these films were massively over rated and Ron Pearlman's acting is wooden. That is why the studios will not make it. 33 million dollars Is f all in movie terms. I say let it lie:)

Don't know what you're smoking but they were both excellent, particularly Hellboy 2. 81% for Hellboy on Rotten Tomatoes and 87% for Hellboy 2
