That was seriously great! [:)]

And its lovely to see a trailer that just plays out like that, instead of the usual barrage of quick cuts and edits.

The animation and direction is also sublime. The shot where Toothless arcs over and plummets towards the ground is a chills moment.

The first one was an unexpected delight, so I'm looking forward to this a great deal!

Two questions:

- Is it actually a scene from the film, or something specifically done as a trailer? Studios sometimes feel obliged to put something out there, even if, in this case, the film's still nearly a year from release. Whatever the case, it's beautifully constructed and succeeds 100% in something that the first film also did - perfectly evoking the magic and freedom of flight in ways that (IMO) even Avatar didn't quite manage. The first film's 'Test Drive' and 'Romantic Flight' sequences were both utterly gorgeous.
- Is the music new John Powell stuff, or lifted from another source?

The Empire article mentions Kit Harington's possible role in HTTYD2, riffing on the 'Dragon Rider' concept. Accidentally or deliberately, this could well turn out to be a monster Game Of Thrones spoiler if certain speculations about Jon Snow's origins turn out to be true!

smakris04 -> Matthew Macfadyen (13/7/2013 12:57:42 PM)

Is it me or does Hiccup looks more and more like actor Matthew Macfadyen ?

Brilliant! Cannot wait for this, the first movie was wonderful.

kevmccann -> Looks awesome! (15/7/2013 1:26:45 PM)

Love this, wonder if they will explain why all the parents sound Scottish and the kids are American?!!!

paulbeatson -> Oscar this time! (17/7/2013 8:54:15 AM)

Looks awesome. Loved the first, robbed of the oscar (IMHO). Still the best use of 3D in an animated movie.

Darren47 -> (14/12/2013 12:45:07 AM)

Loved The First! The second one still looks like it has the charm of the original. I'm just not on board with the kids aging 4 to 5 Years.
