jobloffski -> Manhunter... (22/2/2013 10:35:18 AM)

Heartbeat, heartbeat uh-oo-whoah-oooh...

Repeat until insane.

About as out of step with the cool clinical film that preceded the song as it is possible to imagine

bosscoe -> (22/2/2013 10:53:22 AM)

Well done Empire, a few of these I didn't have. Downloaded!!

christurner1 -> (22/2/2013 11:52:34 AM)

Elm Street 3 IS one of the better ones. It has some daft moments but is the cut-off point before the series got really silly. Plus the song's great.

digvoldon -> (22/2/2013 11:57:42 AM)

Paul McCartney wrote a "decent" Bond theme. Is decent a euphemism for contender for Best Bond theme

guysalisbury -> Teen Wolf (22/2/2013 12:38:16 PM)

This needs a mention.

I nearly started weeping :-) Epic!

bradcam72 -> Definitely Teen Wolf For Me (22/2/2013 2:45:52 PM)

With added cock waving!

okayeoiny -> TWINS! (22/2/2013 3:00:14 PM)

One of the most awesome movies of all time has an even more awesome end credits song (clearly written for the movie) - such classic lines as "Twins - together outside and in" "Everythings great when you're twins"! What's not to love about this!!

BenTramer -> (22/2/2013 5:14:42 PM)

They should re-release Manhunter with all the shite 80s rawk toons wiped off it, it would lift the film to another level. I also like "Stand on your own/there's No Retreat, No Surrender!" I only noticed recently that the J. Geils Band of (Angel Is The) Centrefold fame did the song for Fright Night in 1985: "We're all in for a-most frightening night-night-night!"

Scruffybobby -> Hearts on Fire.. (22/2/2013 8:32:14 PM)

strong desire, rages deep within....

Awful? Fucking Awesome more like. Shame on you Empire.

Boomer340 -> Commando!! (22/2/2013 9:58:40 PM)

I knew Frank Stallone would be on there for First Blood, Part II, but I have to admit, I started the list with the intention of mentioning in the comments page about how you missed We Fight for Love. Glad to see you were already on top of it. Great list!

aardvark1973 -> where is big trouble in kittle china? (23/2/2013 8:53:11 AM)

this is an example of true 80's kitsch. written by and starring the director himself

Kevin Kennedy -> Empire You've Ruined My Childhood! (23/2/2013 9:09:44 AM)

Ok, most of the selection is god awful but weren't the 80's in general god awful anyway? It reflects perfectly the time, mehinks. Have to admit Xanadu and Christmas Vacation...I kind of like, guilty pleasure and I've heard far worse like say Adele's 'Skyfall' theme anyone.....anyone?!

ascohen01 -> Dragnet (23/2/2013 10:16:28 AM)

....errrrrr is it just me or is the Hanks/Ackroyd rap frickin awesome ?!?!?

sowasred2012 -> Oi! (23/2/2013 1:17:52 PM)

Hearts on Fire is awesome!

electrohead -> Bloodsport (23/2/2013 1:28:45 PM)

"Kumite! Kumite! Kumite!" - My toes started wiggling along to this again the moment it started.
Back in the days I recorded my favourite scenes of the movie on a tape recorder so I could listen to them. That's how much I love(d) it. And that song was the high point of my compilation, haha. :-)
Still awesome.

"Kumite! Kumite! Kumite!" - My toes started wiggling to this again the moment it started.
Back in the days I recorded my favourite scenes of the movie with a tape recorder so I could listen to them on my walkman. That's how much I love(d) it. And that song was the high point of my Bloodsport compilation, haha. :-)
Still awesome.

Charles B. Potatoes -> (23/2/2013 9:33:31 PM)

Live and Let Die 'decent'? Was this written by a 12 year old Justin Bieber fan with no musical taste whatsoever?

captainrentboy -> Saved it right at the end. (24/2/2013 2:46:56 PM)

That was one terrible and strangely unmemorable list of songs, just about saved by 'Hearts On Fire'. :)

Craigmustdie -> Dream Warriors (24/2/2013 6:25:01 PM)

Damn right I think Nightmare on Elm Street part 3: Dream Warriors is one of the better entire, it's an excellent movie, if you just watch parts 1, 3 and 7 (New Nightmare) It makes a kick ass, totally self contained trilogy without any of the nonsense that spoiled the franchise.

Toursiveu -> Dragnet... (24/2/2013 7:45:16 PM)

Dragnet reminds me of a time when Tom Hanks used to shout every one of his lines in every movie!

Hippolyte -> RE: Teen Wolf (24/2/2013 8:21:48 PM)

Was just about to say the same thing, fantastic song!

littlechris -> I like all of these songs... (24/2/2013 10:38:08 PM)

Especially the Arnie songs - I'm not ashamed of this.

Willy Wood -> RE: I like all of these songs... (25/2/2013 2:27:12 PM)

Electric dreams by Giorgio Morader, true cheesy 80's. Note sure whether it ended the movie but what a classic 80's song, we'll always be together, togeeeetherrr in Electric dreams.

Mister Coe -> RE: I like all of these songs... (28/2/2013 11:26:00 PM)

Another vote for 'Hearts On Fire' being fucking awesome...
