dannyfletch -> Great news! (17/2/2013 8:29:49 PM)

Hopefully Mendes will decide 100% and direct another excellent Bond film. I already can't wait!

jackcarter -> Skyfall With A Vengence (17/2/2013 9:27:10 PM)

the brother of Sliva (played by Antoino Banderus or B Del Toro) out for revenge....(thats right skip SkyFall 2: Skyfaller)

LOL I'm kinda down for that

Lebo -> Terrible news! (18/2/2013 5:45:52 AM)

Skyfall was rubbish. I hope Mendes isn't allowed anywhere near the next Bond movie.

Are you mad? did you turn up to the right movie Lebo?
It is generally acknowledged by critics and movie-goers alike that this film is superior in many ways to the vast majority of the movies in the Bond franchise.

spark1 -> More Fun This Time (18/2/2013 10:12:35 AM)

i liked SF but could do without the angst in bond 24.

even fleming let bond have a bit of fun when on a mission.

i know we are not going to get classic bond movie traits in this new era but how about just a bit more fun next time.

Paddy Kieran -> That would be excellent (18/2/2013 10:13:16 AM)

I would love more Kincade with stories of Bonds youth

Nicky C -> Cool! (18/2/2013 12:09:22 PM)

I enjoyed Skyfall a lot and it felt like we were going from one phase of Bond into a new one ... one that has a foot in the future as well as the past. So, I like the idea of Mendes staying on and showing us where he was hoping the franchise would go. Fingers crossed Roger Deakins comes back as well because Skyfall looked fantastic.

purplegnome -> NO (18/2/2013 12:48:17 PM)

Couldnt stand skyfall dont let him anywhere near it from the action to the story absolute rubbish if only i could have the 2 hrs back that this film robbed me of.

It robbed me of 1 hour as I walked out.

Mr Gittes -> I hope he comes back (18/2/2013 5:09:05 PM)

Wow. A LOT of hate for Skyfall here. Personally I loved it so I guess I'm going to get torn to shreds.

archie119 -> Top news!! (18/2/2013 9:06:25 PM)

I can't believe some so called Bond fans are slating Skyfall! Now admittedly I was never a great fan of Craig's Bond but this movie changed my mind completely, fantastic film, fantastic Bond, fantastic director!

musht -> RE: Top news!! (18/2/2013 9:23:59 PM)

I didn't hate it but it is very overrated. Didn't know whether it wanted to mock the old traits ore send them up. It was definitely too long and the Home Alone in Highlands climax was very disappointing. It was fine but it's not even the best Craig Bond film, let alone Best Bond film ever

DanTDavies -> (19/2/2013 12:27:06 PM)

Ah crap! Can we have a proper Bond this time please, complete with hollowed out volcanoes, maniacal world conquering villains and cars that remain visible but can still level small towns. Also the only "beautiful" things on the screen should be the women - who on earth goes to see a Bond film for the cinematography? WE WANT A HOLLOWED OUT VOLCANO!!!

dannyfletch -> So called fans! (19/2/2013 9:07:04 PM)

There are a few so called Bond fans on here who dislike Skyfall even though it is one of the best Bond films ever! As a true fan ( Pierce Brosnan being my least favourite), I've read the books and love them all and, with exception of Die Another Day, I like all of the films for what they are. Craig is the best Bond since Connery and Skyfall captures the essence of proper Fleming Bond.There may be some dislike but there is more than enough praise and love for Skyfall amongst proper fans and critics alike!

Mr Gittes -> RE: So called fans! (21/2/2013 10:36:23 AM)

Seconded in every way. Good to see more support here. I really hope Mendes does come back and make another great one, but there's part of me that almost wishes the next one is crap, just so there's more love for Skyfall. But, hey, opinions are opinions. Some love it, some hate it. I can accept that.

Again, I'm happy to accept that it's a matter of opinion, but (as you may have already seen me write in another thread) are you really reminded more of Home Alone than the climax of Straw Dogs? I understand that Home Alone is better known, but there's just so many more similarities with Straw Dogs that I'm a little baffled that Home Alone gets mentioned more. Considering Sam Mendes directed it, I think I know which movie had the bigger influence on the sequence. Anyway, it's just a small thing. Back on topic, I hope he returns to the camera for the new Bond movie but I'll also admit that I'm hoping that the next one is more fun.
