I have seen this a couple of days ago, mainly because i was curious. After al the bad reviews i have been reading through, i just couldn't believe it was this bad, imagine my surprise when it actually was...
There are many bad comedies out there, from the countless movie parodies to the American Pie rip-offs, the line goes on and on and there is no end in sight. While watching this movie, i wondered how they got so many good actors to stuf this bad turkey up with.
A good actor doesn't garantue a good movie, this movie is no exeption to that rule. I read somewhere that Richard Gere did this because his wife was related to one of the makers, i guess that makes some sort of sense. No idea of the other actors where forced into this, but the makers must of had some dark secrets about them. Seriously most actors have proven themself over the years, and won't be affected by the bad reviews this movie already received, the rest should have known better...
I have seen the version with the kids inbetween, searching for movie 43 on the internet. There seems to be another version, with Dennis Quaid and Greg Kinnear trying to come up with a movie pitch. Just two more good actor's sacrifising themselves for a reason that remains unknown to us...
Watch this out of curiousity, it won't kill you (i hope), after that you can throw it away or burn it in a ritual fashion. No one can say what the fate is of movie 43, burning in oblivion or grow into a cult-favorite. The least seems very unlikely...
