film man aidy -> Flight (21/1/2013 12:01:49 PM) Decent enough film that can be pretty easily summed up as SPOILER IT YOU HAVN'T SEEN A TRAILER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! alcoholic airline pilot battles his demons. Denzel, as always, puts in a good performance, there's a well judged soundtrack, but other than John Goodman popping up at several intervals to liven up the proceedings, this could be an HBO slickly done tv movie. Nice to see Robert Zemekis sticking to something a bit grittier too. ***1/2

film man aidy -> RE: Flight (29/1/2013 11:07:40 AM) Washington is good in this, but I wouldn't say it's Oscar worthy. Just because his character is very flawed, and the fact he put weight on for the part isn't enough i'm afraid. I enjoyed John Goodman's and Bruce Greenwood's performances more.
