Gimli The Dwarf -> RE: 2013 Bluray/DVD Thread (15/1/2013 12:34:00 AM)

I'll take this spot.

MuckyMuckMan -> RE: 2013 Bluray/DVD Thread (20/2/2013 3:45:26 PM)

time for the obligatory bump!

Jackie Boy -> RE: 2013 Bluray/DVD Thread (1/4/2013 3:59:27 PM)

Picked up the Sherlock boxset for the bargain price of £14.50 today. I'm well chuffed with that considering both seasons are still going for a tenner. [:)]

moontheloon -> RE: 2013 Bluray/DVD Thread (1/4/2013 5:40:28 PM)

I would do this if I didn't know that adding up the amount I spend on films would genuinely frighten me.

Jackie Boy -> RE: 2013 Bluray/DVD Thread (1/4/2013 9:17:02 PM)

There's really no need to put the prices down. I do it in order to try & curb my spending, which actually seems to be working. [:D]

MuckyMuckMan -> RE: 2013 Bluray/DVD Thread (7/4/2013 1:03:19 PM)

I put the prices on to show other people where they can grab a bargain.

Jackie Boy -> RE: 2013 Bluray/DVD Thread (5/5/2013 11:19:38 AM)

Finally bit the bullet & bought the scandinavian import of Carpenter's classic Assault On Precinct 13. I had to pay a hefty price but imo it was well worth it.

Jackie Boy -> RE: 2013 Bluray/DVD Thread (1/7/2013 5:51:50 PM)

Picked up the Django steelbook in HMV today. Much to my surprise the price had actually dropped a little so it was a no brainer really.

Good find!

Jackie Boy -> RE: 2013 Bluray/DVD Thread (3/8/2013 4:27:33 PM)

Could do with a little help tbh. I'm looking for a couple of suggestions for classics, Blu-ray only now. There's only one other title that i have penned in as a must buy, there must be a few others that are passing me by lol.

MuckyMuckMan -> RE: 2013 Bluray/DVD Thread (6/8/2013 4:17:50 PM)

Need to know which classics you have first. What about Double Indemnity?

Jackie Boy -> RE: 2013 Bluray/DVD Thread (6/8/2013 7:27:23 PM)

That's not a bad call actually. I'll have to look into that, cheers man[:D]

I really wanted Breathless but i''ve noticed that the Studio Canal releases are a little shoddy, especially when it comes to picture quality.

I'll tell you what i'll just list what i currently own to show you what i'm all about.

Psycho
North By Northwest
Dr Strangelove
2001
The Shining
Alien
Aliens
Casablanca
The Maltese Falcon
True Grit
Apocalypse Now
Jaws
Touch Of Evil
Vertigo (on pre-order)

spark1 -> RE: 2013 Bluray/DVD Thread (7/8/2013 10:37:47 AM)

MuckyMuckMan -> RE: 2013 Bluray/DVD Thread (22/10/2013 11:31:46 PM)

very disappointed in the lack of participants this year!!!

Jackie Boy -> RE: 2013 Bluray/DVD Thread (7/12/2013 5:21:44 PM)

I've just received the US import of the classic creature feature King Kong. Gotta say i'm over the moon with it, just as well really cos at just under twenty quid it didn't come cheap.

Jackie Boy -> RE: 2013 Bluray/DVD Thread (7/12/2013 5:28:57 PM)

I couldn't help but notice you bought the Universal Monsters Collection. It's an absolute steal at that price so i'll have to check that one out M.
