Well, I ended up crying like a baby through this. Outstanding performances from all involved. This de-hollywood-ises a sexual predator, grooming tale and shows the visceral damage of an attack of this nature on the entire family unit.
There are no easy answers. There is no happy vengence for dad. The path is impossible to tread for everyone involved.
I really believe that every parent should watch this, and it wouldn't be a bad idea to show your teenage kids either. It is terrifying to know that these perverts are out there, and a film like this should be applauded for bringing it to the front and centre of people's attention.
Excellent work from Schwimmer. A haunting and powerful story.
