What's your empire year been like? Mine has been a mixed bag really. On the one hand I made all the list threads and they were all busy enough for the subforums they were in. On the other hand those threads were deleted.

I also inspired one of the best meltdowns of the year. Unfortunately that thread was deleted too.

So what was your year on the forums like?

I would have just updated last years thread, but it was deleted a couple of weeks ago.

All these moments lost like tears in the rain.

I have to say with a lot of problematic posters not here any more has made off topic a lot quieter. It kind of suits me at the moment being super busy with work.

All in all there were some pretty epic moments this year like we get in most years.

My Empire highlight of this year was winning a HoF. It doesn't get much better than that.

Yeah, Internet Warriors was fucking amazing, amazing cuntish behaviour on a Biblical level.

The United Kingdom of ***** **** being torn down on the same day it was set up, due to its inherent twattyness, was also highly amusing.

Was this the year of 'buy a baguette, smash the system'? Cos that was also brilliant.

And Paul's threads being deleted, and thus all the year's reviews and hundreds and hundreds of other posts, was also pretty funny once I stopped wanting to stab him in the eyes because of it.

Black Bond was a highlight. The Dark Knight Rises thread was, at least in hindsight, hilarious too.

Not been as outrageous as previous years though, although I do feel like I've come out of my shell a little more at least.

Wasn't much of a debate. Two people insisting that metal was pure, the only true form of music, and that it was untainted by commercial concerns. The rest of us laughing and saying lol no. It was funny though. [:D]

I've had a couple of run-ins with a massive cunt. Overall I don't think I've ever been as annoyed by people as I have this year.

The Episode VII thread makes for a very entertaining read now, although being a foolish participant at the time I clearly had only myself to blame for getting wound-up by the trolls.

On the whole, though, however my Empire year was it simply cannot compare to how shitty the real-world year of 2012 has been.

Same old, same old for me. I haven't started anything amazing, nor have I contributed to anything amazing, just kind of hung around the same threads I have for years. As always I realise that a load of posters I like (or at whose posts I like reading, for good or bad) have either gone on their merry way or been banned and as always I wish this wasn't the case.
