azzman1984 -> THE EXPENDABLES 3 (31/10/2012 7:48:01 PM)

It's been confirmed that The Expendables 3 will be made http://collider.com/expendables-3-mechanic-2/207562/#more-207562

So what do u's want from Expendales 3 in terms of director, writers, story line, action, new casting, the villian etc.

azzman1984 -> RE: THE EXPENDABLES 3 (1/11/2012 9:28:36 PM)

I think the following things should happen in Expendables 3

Get John McTiernan to direct if he gets released from prison, if not then John Woo.

Hire Shane Black to write the script.

Have the running time be a lot longer so we could get to know the characters a lot more, give them more screen time and have the story flow better in the way Fast Five did.

No shaky cam and have actual fake blood and guts instead of CGI

Last and certainly not least, if theirs anyone that could seriously take The Expendables 3 to another level then get Dwayne Johnson to star in it!!

Timon -> RE: THE EXPENDABLES 3 (2/11/2012 10:38:58 AM)

Don't let Stallone write it

No more 'self-referencing' jokes. They just don't work.

Actually kill some of The Expendables

Bring in Michael Jai White and some actors that can actually bring the pain (The Rock, Donnie Yen)

More Bruce Willis, less Schwarzenegger (I love the man, but when all three of them are on screen together, you can really see who's the weakest actor)

Lose the berets

No Chuck Norris

More Jet Li

Heres a short interview with Sly where he talks about Expebdables 3

quote:

What are the new features of 'The Expendables 3'?
We are preparing the film with the same passion and commitment as the previous two. We have confirmed Nicolas Cage, a master actor who gives a veneer intellectual group. Hopefully we can realize to Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes and Mickey Rourke. That is the great mission of the producer. We will continue with the same narrative scheme, the agility and the frenzy, which are inherent to the saga. What will definitely be the last? I can not guarantee. In principle it would be two deliveries, but the affection of the people encouraged us to work on a third. I guess as long as we amused ourselves by offering fun and people, we can continue playing 'The Expendables'. For now we are not as expendable as it should and as some critics want.

How did Chuck Norris's return to cinema?
It was very difficult. By now, Chuck is saturated cinema violence. At first he thought the film would be so full of blood and savagery, but then read the script and realized it was more action and adventure. We had the idea of recreating a character in his 1978 'Guys Wear black', Booker, a retired military that assists former comrades on a dangerous mission. And so is his small role in 'The Expendables 2' is called 'Lone Wolf' and suddenly comes out of nowhere to save.

And finally convinced Jean Claude Van Damme ...
It was understandable that he refused to do the first part because, in the role of villain, would end up being defeated. Besides, no one ever saw him as the villain, he has always been a symbol of justice for the oppressed. But Jean Claude took up the challenge, thanks to the success he achieved the first film. It was fun to see him so involved as Jean Vilain, a bad guy who risks his own life. When my character and him got into a war epic, Jean told me: "It is the clash of two veterans coming out of retirement for one last fight", and we took this situation very funny. Now, he decided it was our last fight, so I do not see in 'The Expendables 3'.

Who the fuck wrote that or is Sly really that incoherent? Timon nailed it all really, though a lot more consistency and less conviniences are needed.

film man aidy -> RE: THE EXPENDABLES 3 (25/2/2013 10:45:27 PM)

Vinnie Jones?! I hope this turns to be false. The guy CANNOT act. Am hoping his part in 'The Tomb' is very minor.

Vadersville -> RE: THE EXPENDABLES 3 (25/2/2013 11:43:08 PM)

That would be cool. Especially since we already had Eric Roberts due to HIS connection to The Specialist!

and the actor who played the general in EX1 was also in that film too.

any chance sharon stone might make it in as well as mrs church?

anbb13 -> RE: THE EXPENDABLES 3 (5/3/2013 2:04:43 PM)

As regards actors, it will be difficult to do better.
I wonder which scenario they can find out. I think it's not a good idea to go on. The expandables 2 cannot be matched. Do you know things about the casting ?

lelouchvi -> RE: THE EXPENDABLES 3 (6/3/2013 1:40:35 AM)

I'd love an Expendables 3, I really liked Expendables 2. Stallone is boss.

They definitely need more Chuck Norris in the 3rd though. I was disappointed that he was only in one scene.

azzman1984 -> RE: THE EXPENDABLES 3 (23/4/2013 10:35:22 PM)

Sly has confirmed on twitter that Patrick Hughes, the director of the 2010 film Red Hill will be directing Expendables 3

Professor Dent -> RE: THE EXPENDABLES 3 (26/4/2013 12:41:44 PM)

Sean Connery in a brief Kirckade style role.

Then again, he walked away from movies because of crap like this.
