Charles B. Potatoes -> (23/10/2012 8:48:14 AM)

Looks better than IM2 already.

Hope Shane Black pulls this one off. I have every confidence he will

Iago 1979 -> Promising (23/10/2012 8:49:25 AM)

Looking good so far! Hopefully Shane Black can instill some of that jet-black dialogue that is his trademark - if so, then Stark could prove to be his true muse.

andrewgc -> Not Kingsley Doing The Hood.................. (23/10/2012 8:50:52 AM)

Kingsley as the bad guy? Never convincing and always far too comic book even for the comics.

Hank -> (23/10/2012 9:01:30 AM)

Was that not the Extremis Armour waking him up rather than the Iron Patriot one?...

UTB -> RE: (23/10/2012 9:08:22 AM)

Not sure about Kingsley's accent but other than that, looking good.

DragonWolf_98 -> holy mother of god!!! (23/10/2012 9:21:32 AM)

OH MY GOD!!!!! CANT FREAKING WAIT FOR THIS NOW!!!!!

MusicLovesYou -> This looks daaaaaaaaaark (23/10/2012 9:59:39 AM)

Not sure about Sir Ben's accent but the get up looks pretty good. Already heard a rumour it's not the Iron Patriot armour (unless Norman Osborne is making a weird cameo - could it be Rhodey?)

UnderTheLights -> (23/10/2012 10:00:50 AM)

Looks good, will hopefully continue the trend that Dark Knight Rises set of the third film in a superhero franchise not automatically sucking. Usually I'd be concerned about the change of director, but you can't really go wrong with Shane Black.

Mijacogeo -> (23/10/2012 10:09:21 AM)

Um. I don't know a whole lot about the Mandarin but...why does he have Captain America's shield tattooed on the back of his neck? Intriguing.

Trailer looks awesome and like the movie is going to rip my heart out and stomp all over it. I have faith in Shane but I hope he doesn't make it too dark and retains his excellent humour.

jmebaby25 -> RE: (23/10/2012 10:11:36 AM)

Looks great, but I'd wish they'd stop showing major moments in the trailers. Iron Man 3 is going to be a hit. The first two, and the success of The Avengers show that, so I'd like them to hold back the set pieces from the trailers.

The destruction of Stark's home looks like a great moment - it'd be even better if the first time we saw it was in the cinema.

I guess I'm being overly harsh though, because this seems to be the trend nowaways.

Anyway, it's all looking good.

Wild about Wilder -> RE: RE: (23/10/2012 10:30:46 AM)

gotta admit as per usual too much shown in the trailer BUT! gotta say when Shane Blacks involved you just know the action's gonna be ramped up.

BelfastBoy -> RE: RE: (23/10/2012 10:31:04 AM)

Does Shane Black have any script input or is he just directing though? With the exception of Whedon, I've always had the impression that Marvel treat their directors very much like Eon with the Bond films - the director is merely the most eminent hired hand, with the scripts coming from elsewhere.

So, if the film's out earlier than it is in the US, any likelihood of us missing out on another post-credits scene like with Avengers?!

As for 'Sir' Ben, this is his golden opportunity to redeem himself for lowering himself to appearing in rubbish like Prince Of Persia, Thunderbirds, etc! (Was he in The Dictator?!)

Shane Black co-wrote it with Drew Pearce.

AquaDragon2K -> IM3 (23/10/2012 10:47:04 AM)

Oh my days. I've frakked in my pants! Have watched it 3 times already!!!!!!

sagent33 -> RE: IM3 (23/10/2012 10:59:18 AM)

Really like look of this! Hoping for a big step up from 2! Agree too much shown, but at least what was shown looks promising! Can't wait!

loafroaster -> "Kingsley as the bad guy? Never convincing" (23/10/2012 11:15:21 AM)

You've never watched Sexy Beast then...

paulyboy -> RE: "Kingsley as the bad guy? Never convincing" (23/10/2012 11:25:59 AM)

Looking forward to the film, but not a fan of the trailer, watched it a few times and there's just something off about it, can't quite put finger on what exactly, it just doesn't pop like it should, maybe it's just me.

OPEN YOUR EYES -> RE: "Kingsley as the bad guy? Never convincing" (23/10/2012 11:29:38 AM)

ben kingsley is abit sh*t nowadays.

Generic.

Dannybohy -> RE: (23/10/2012 11:36:44 AM)

that's a matter of opinion. I thought TDKR sucked, even compared to the first 2 movies, which didn't do anything for me either.

Funk_Knight -> Looks Great! (23/10/2012 12:33:27 PM)

Really looking forward to this one!

Deckard** -> Telepresence Armour? (23/10/2012 12:43:22 PM)

As a long term Iron Man reader, could the headset he is wearing be the "telepresence" unit where he controls an "empty" suit of armour through the headset? Or could the armour have gained intelligence like in the later comics and become its own entity

Nicky C -> That looks f*cking cool. (23/10/2012 1:57:12 PM)

Seriously f*cking cool. Huzzah for Shane Black!

Snake 4Skin -> Looking Good Mr Black but..... (23/10/2012 2:40:33 PM)

Did they have to change the armour colour scheme AGAIN. More gold than red,why? Doesn't look as intimidating. Apart from that,looks really interesting,especially the suit grabbing Pepper,freaky!

I'm curious about this too. In the clip where the armour appears when Tony and Pepper are in bed, I would lean towards it being controlled by Tony though he might not be aware of it. She seems pretty frantic before the armour even appears and Tony doesn't even open his eyes when she screams so maybe he's somehow gotten locked into the armour through his subconscious or some weird shit. I find it hard to believe that, for a man having nightmares and angsting over losing Pepper, he would sleep through her panic willingly.

But then there's the moment where the armour lands over Tony who is sprawled across the floor and quite clearly awake. So then either someone has stolen the armour (unlikely), it's become sentient (definitely plausible but wasn't expecting them to pick that plot thread up with so much other stuff happening) or Tony summoned it to him to get himself and Pepper out of the Malibu house before it is destroyed.

I look forward to finding out (but I'm still more interested in the tattoo on Mandarin's neck!!)

I'd assumed that scene was a post-Battle of New York PTSD nightmare.

Teddy Bear -> In the Avengers..... (23/10/2012 5:37:24 PM)

....Black widow already tried Eric bana & Ed norton b4 she gt2 Mark Ruffalo

spideed2 -> Good stuff.... (23/10/2012 5:46:23 PM)

I have no evidence for this but I bet a fiver the headset shot is ripped from New Avengers where Tony uses it to control a bunch of armours all at once, without being in any of them.

tim gover -> (23/10/2012 8:24:39 PM)

Hey Mr Mandarin,where did you get the chavvy rings from huh
