Could be interesting. I absolutely loved the first two thirds of The Strain - a literal page turner - but it gradually began to lose excitement and my focus. I then tried reading The Fall, but I only got about 100 pages in before I gave up. I had just lost all interest in the story and the characters. I didn't feel I needed to read about them for more than one book. But I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with a TV series; maybe it will reignited my desire to give the books another go.

Excited about this one. I haven't read the books, but I listened to the first one, read by Ron Perlman. It had bags of atmosphere and was set in NY; shouldn't go wrong really.
I think if they do the effects properly, like the zombies in The Walking Dead, it will be great. No shiny CGI.

Del Toro and Vampires equals greatness. Just look at the excellent Cronos and Blade 2 as a fine example. Can not wait for this already!
