I'd love to see the BBC have another go at a Hitchhiker's Guide To the Galaxy series. The original wasn't great and only lasted one season.

Nonsense, the original series is excellent.

Nah, they replaced Geoffrey McGivern as Ford and the new guy was awful, and some blonde american as Trillian!? I'd love them to do the whole "trilogy", so much good material

I remember a film called 'Misfits of Science', didn't realise there was a spin-off TV show (unless the film I saw was a pilot).

Wait a sec though - is that Courteney Cox at the front?

Yes it is.

The big guy in the back is Kevin Peter Hall who played the Predator in the first 2 films.
The series also starred Max "Willie Tanner" Wright as the boss of the team.

Talking of which... how about an "ALF"-movie?

ALF would probably be fully CG and voiced by Seth Rogen or Jack Black.

Now that's quite some cast!

On a serious note I would imagine ALF is prime remake fodder, you're right.

On an 80s UK Kids TV note how about KnightMare ("Warning, team!") or a reboot of Press Gang? Now that was quality kids telly.

At least they are keeping the original voice although, I'd prefer for there to be an ALF puppet. With a bigger budget, they'd be able to make a better puppet, but noooooooooooooooooooooo, the kids just love the CGI.

Did the success of The Muppets teach them nothing?

Bad Ash -> RE: 80s tv film remakes (19/9/2012 3:23:46 PM)

Kung-Fu - with someone like Mark Dacascos as Cain! (he may be a bit on the old side!)
