Just noticed in Waterstones he has a new book out so promptly ordered it on Amazon for 10!

Loved his last novel 'Secret'. Really looking forward to getting my hands on it although it's a massive book, so I imagine it'll take me a while to get through!

If anyone has read it, any thoughts/comments - but please keep them SPOILER FREE!! Thanks! [;)][:)]

The last few James Herbert novels I've read (not read Secret yet) have been very very poor. I loved Haunted and Ghosts of Sleath so I want to see what Herbert does with Ash in this novel.

Off topic, the BBC have announced an adaption of Secret to run over Halloween. I started a thread about it in Small Screen...

Finished it a couple of days ago. Not a patch on his previous novel 'Secret' and despite starting well it suffers from a serious lag in the middle (wildcats...) and some rather offensive (imo) use of real life people within the narrative. Lets just say one of the main characters towards the end is particularly offensive given the real life events although it does explain that epilogue!

Worth a read but not one of his best tbh.
