bereski -> Issue 281 (31/8/2012 11:39:07 AM)

aka November Issue.

No Hobbit on cover please...
Les Miserables? Lincoln? Hitchcock? Cloud Atlas?

jackcarter -> RE: Issue 281 (31/8/2012 12:08:48 PM)

bond

:)

film man aidy -> RE: Issue 281 (31/8/2012 3:38:45 PM)

Bond or The Hobbit again... [:D]

film man aidy -> RE: Issue 281 (31/8/2012 3:41:34 PM)

Just think, now Jackson's inflicting an entire trilogy upon us, we could The Hobbit on the cover every other issue for the next two or so years...That should tide us over until George decides to press on with a third trilogy...

FilmFan123 -> RE: Issue 281 (31/8/2012 4:56:48 PM)

They'll probably go for Django on the cover

bereski -> RE: Issue 281 (10/9/2012 2:01:43 PM)

Maybe Cloud Atlas different realities covers, 70's one, future, past...

giallomovie -> RE: Issue 281 (10/9/2012 2:37:20 PM)

Superman exclusive cover!

efc91 -> RE: Issue 281 (11/9/2012 9:35:15 AM)

Its been three issues without a superhero on the cover so I reckon Iron Man 3 or Man of Steel.

Geldart -> RE: Issue 281 (12/9/2012 7:57:31 PM)

wow, haven't been on here in ages. was wondering (sorry if this is the wrong thread) but how would one go about getting a job at empire ?- im easy, hell id even work for free (for a while- dude's gotta eat)

the same here

Chris Hewitt -> RE: Issue 281 (24/9/2012 2:16:02 PM)

Read the issue. I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Sutty -> RE: Issue 281 (24/9/2012 2:21:04 PM)

Guarantee is a strong word... In what way will you guarantee our enjoyment of this months issue? Or certainly guarantee that we won't be disappointed?

Chris Hewitt -> RE: Issue 281 (24/9/2012 2:43:18 PM)

I'm going to stand behind you with a baseball bat.

[EMPIRE LAWYERS' NOTE: No, he isn't. (Help. He's standing behind us with a baseball bat.)]

vad3r -> RE: Issue 281 (24/9/2012 2:50:36 PM)

Can I have your autograph please Mr. Hewitt?

FilmFan123 -> RE: Issue 281 (24/9/2012 4:55:50 PM)

Not interested in Arnie but at least they did something different. Sadly next month's cover is, shock horror, The Hobbit!

But it's going to be "The Most Spectacular Cover of all Time".

How can that be bad?

film man aidy -> RE: Issue 281 (24/9/2012 11:09:34 PM)

Fair play Empire by having something a bit different this month. Reminds me a bit of the days gone by when it wasn't all sequels and comic books on the cover. I fear that we are getting into serious overkill by having the Hobbit on the cover next month again...The only thing that will impress me with that, is if Martin Freeman delivers my copy personally...

Roadsey -> RE: Issue 281 (24/9/2012 11:39:39 PM)

You've got Arnie for the cover, then over 30 pages and almost 80 photos dedicated to the bloke. What a joke and a travesty. I used to think Empire was a film magazine.

Roadsey -> RE: Issue 281 (24/9/2012 11:46:14 PM)

This months issue is a farce, it's just promotional tat for Shwarzenegger. I've wasted my money this time round. 36 pages and 75 plus photos on a man who can barely act and hasn't made a decent film since the 80s? Whoever gave the greenlight for this at Empire must have a bedroom wall covered in Arnie posters and a box of tissues at the ready. This is lazy unimaginative journalism.

Carne -> RE: Issue 281 (25/9/2012 1:53:34 AM)

I'm very happy with The Hobbit being on the next cover. Millions and millions of people are anticipating this trilogy, so I don't see how that's something bad.

Ti -> RE: Issue 281 (25/9/2012 9:49:34 AM)

So Empire, when do we get a Stallone issue? I mean what does he have to do, die, to get some respect?!

(Oh, and am I alone in thinking that the subscribers' only cover is weaker than the regular one? Same as the Jeremy Renner one...)

Must be a Stallone fan.

xzynomorpher -> RE: Issue 281 (25/9/2012 2:49:22 PM)

I have to agree with everyone else here on this. The guy may have had charisma and a certain degree of talent, but the sheer amount of ass-kissing in the article was unbelievable. Did James Dyer actually write this, or was it Schwarzenegger's publicist and he just got his name on it? A shameless puff piece if there ever was one.

Biggus -> RE: Issue 281 (28/9/2012 10:33:34 PM)

Absolutely loved all the Arnie stuff. A blow-by-blow account of Commando? Made my day! [:)]

piccolo135 -> RE: Issue 281 (1/10/2012 9:48:15 AM)

Don't get all the complaints. Arnie is one of the action movie acting gods in my opinion. Totally deserving of a long celebratory article. Next up, can we have Bruce Willis please??

jackcarter -> RE: Issue 281 (1/10/2012 11:07:41 AM)

the Arnie movie checklist reminded me of the one in the Total Recall issue (1990)
