VwikusM -> For a LONG time.. (30/8/2012 4:41:39 PM)

I have wanted Christian Bale to play Snake. I think it would be wonderfully meta if David Hayter would write and direct it. He would be the best pair of hands to put it in.

sinaplenty -> Had enough of these "dark" and "intense" game adaptations... (30/8/2012 4:49:00 PM)

Given every game adaptation to date has been utter dreck, let's try something new. Bobcat Goldthwait to star, Todd Solondz to direct. Admit it, THAT would be worth a watch.

adityadragoniyer -> (30/8/2012 4:53:03 PM)

Christian Bale for Solid Snake! He said he played the games before as a child and would love to play as Snake if given!
and Nolan of course for director! :D

tallaght24 -> Hmmmm (30/8/2012 5:02:33 PM)

I've been saying Bale should be Snake ever since Kurt Wimmer was attached to the MGS movie way back when. Failing that I think Timothy Olyphant would be a good Snake. Viggo Mortensen for Ocelot.

Gouken -> There's only one snake (30/8/2012 5:12:50 PM)

And it's Kurt Russell

lukeynemo -> (30/8/2012 5:13:21 PM)

Once upon a time I would have said Kurt Russell would be perfect, but he's probably too old now. Christian Bale is maybe a bit too clean cut for this part. For some reason I think Hugh Jackman might be good for it, though I don't know why... Viggo Mortensen is a damn good shout for Ocelot. Jeff Goldblum for Hal Emmerich?

calumnorth -> It NEEDS fans touch. (30/8/2012 5:13:40 PM)

Whoever directs and writes it NEEDS a fans touch. Also if they plan on doing the sequels they should write them all at the same time so they're integrated, they need to finally make a video game adaptation that works and this is the story to do it with.

Nicky C -> Re: Had enough of these "dark" and "intense" game adaptations... (30/8/2012 5:13:49 PM)

Nice! Personally, I'd go for Nancy Meyers directing either Meryl Streep or Diane Keaton as Snake. You f*ckin' KNOW it!

TheWetNoodle -> (30/8/2012 5:17:24 PM)

You people have no idea what you're talking about. Neil Marshall should direct Michael Fassbender.

Feel free to agree.

Lang -> Metal Gear (30/8/2012 5:20:41 PM)

Russell Crowe as Snake without a doubt but probably end up Gerard Butler....directed by Paul Greengrass

dillian100 -> Interesting.. (30/8/2012 5:26:35 PM)

I see a lot of Russell Crowes here, good shout! I like the idea of Kurt Russell or Ryan Gosling (as a younger Snake)! Christopher Nolan would be a good fit for directing, none other directors that I can think of..

avantegardener -> sleath-based.. (30/8/2012 5:29:34 PM)

Presumbly a cross between Inspector clouseau and Sam Fisher.

ben300185 -> Metal...Gear?! (30/8/2012 5:32:55 PM)

nickandrews14 -> Castings.. (30/8/2012 6:15:11 PM)

Back in the day (a few years ago) i would have gone for someone like Sean Bean for Liquid but now the years have passed and im losing faith that he could pull off younger liquid

LeioHxC -> Obvious choice is Obvious (30/8/2012 6:25:26 PM)

I think David Hayter should play snake, he IS the voice and Solid Snake's looks are based on him after all & Kojima should direct as he originally planned on being a movie director before moving onto the game scene (Hence why the MGS games are known as "Cut-scene heavy").

nosequelsevr -> solid snake (30/8/2012 8:13:54 PM)

100% backing Josh Holloway (Sawyer from Lost)

batmagnet -> (30/8/2012 8:20:10 PM)

Christian Bale for Solid Snake and Liquid Snake, Kurt Russell for Big Boss, Tommy Lee Jones for Campbell, Jamie Fox for Grey Fox, Scarlett Johansson for Meryl, Paul Dano for Otacon, Sam Eliott as Ocelot and Neil Blompkamp for Director

cormac_c -> What storyline? (30/8/2012 9:08:53 PM)

Young Snake or Old Snake...or Big Boss....So many possibilites! Just please do it right.

Razorus -> Here's one I made earlier (30/8/2012 9:16:31 PM)

http://www.facebook.com/notes/seif-faris-zaki/metal-gear-solid-fantasy-cast-list/245745658739

Made this fantasy list after much deliberation more than 2 years ago.

JosteinAsk -> Michael Wincott (30/8/2012 10:10:34 PM)

got the voice......beef him abit up and we got "mad skillz"

ste_robbo -> (30/8/2012 10:59:53 PM)

Hugh Jackman anyone!?

ste_robbo -> (30/8/2012 11:00:29 PM)

Auster -> REFN (31/8/2012 12:36:39 AM)

How about the up and coming duo of Refn and Gosling? I think Gosling could pull it off, he's certainly proved himself to have acting chops (not that you'll need great acting chops to play Snake). As far as Refn goes: he does not shy away from violence, he has a distinct visual-style and atmospheric visuals. I always thought a quality MGS film would have to be like Jean-Pierre Melville film; a kind of slow moving film with bursts of violence, while remaining interesting via visual-style. Also, my 2 cents: I always thought of MGS as having a super-natural edge to it, you know, strange bosses and all that jazz.

Auster -> Kojima (31/8/2012 12:38:29 AM)

It'd also be interesting to see Kojima have a crack at directing an MGS film. At the very least co-directing much like Frank Miller on "Sin City".

Jambot -> The dream team.. (31/8/2012 2:24:35 AM)

Christopher Nolan to produce, Zach Snyder to direct. Christian Bale for Solid Snake, Michael Fassbender/Paul Bettany for Liquid Snake and Gary Oldman for Revolver Ocelot. Ideas on rest of cast?
