You've got to hand it to him though he's managed to united Madrid, he's hated by both Real and Atletico supporters.

He was booed by both sets of fans last night.

Ronaldo will stay in Madrid and i wouldn't be shocked to see Mourinho at PSG, Chelsea is a much bigger job now than it was when he left.

I can't see Ronaldo leaving Madrid, but I wouldn't be 100% sure on that, though the only club I could see him moving to currently would be PSG, which I still maintain is where Mourinho will end up next season.

As far as I know... the French government is threatening to go through with 75% tax on footballers I just can't see the stability in the threats surrounding this that will make Ronaldo feel comfortable. The same may be true for Jose.

Professor Moriarty -> RE: European football (19/5/2013 7:43:25 PM)

Looks like has left PSG. Real next?

Professor Moriarty -> RE: European football (19/5/2013 9:36:24 PM)

Down a man, down a goal, needing to score 2 for CL football. It's not looking good for AC. Who steps up for the pen? Super Mario. Could be a great final 10 mins.

Annnnd Mexes scores. I'm an old romantic and want a good AC in the CL.

Professor Moriarty -> RE: European football (20/5/2013 7:50:52 PM)

Mourinho and Real to part ways by mutual consent at end of season.

Rinc -> RE: European football (20/5/2013 10:10:06 PM)

Totally shocked!

"Mutual Consent"

Mourinho: "I hate you."
Real: "We hate you too."

End scene.

Professor Moriarty -> RE: European football (20/5/2013 10:38:47 PM)

I think some wag called it mutual contempt.

James2183 -> RE: European football (20/5/2013 10:39:20 PM)

It would also seem Berlusconni just fired his manager on live TV

And those two have such a great history of getting on [:D]. Didn't Silvio call him clueless once cos he wasn't playing El Shaaraway enough

*uncontrollable shock horror*

So I take it this likens that that flamboyant arsehole will be heading back to the Premiership then?

Can't wait.....

James2183 -> RE: European football (20/5/2013 11:06:06 PM)

They're going to have to put the Sunday Supplement on after babestation with the circle jerk the 'journalist's' are going to have when he does

[:D]

I agree with the sentiment though. I think half the reason the media almost seemed disappointed with United's choice of appointing Moyes was more to do with the fact that they had been looking forward to being able to extend football season well into late July with all the piddling crap they could have written about Mourinho's Manchester.

The way Frank Lampard has been talking you would think Mourinho has been in charge the last 8 weeks already. If it was JT or Cashley I would treat it with the utter contempt it deserves, but I think it's already virtually signed and sealed unfortunately.

It's very rare I'll say this as I'm about as far from a soft spot for United as you are going to get, but I hope Moyes blows him out the water in his first season in charge.

Yes, if Man Utd finish 5th and Chelsea 6th, that would be great.

Ultimo Lee -> RE: European football (20/5/2013 11:43:02 PM)

Graham Hunter takes a look at Mourinho's Real Career. Link (skip the video)

It has been ugly, costly, petulant and embarrassing.

So happy not to have him coming to United

galvatron -> RE: European football (21/5/2013 12:03:22 AM)

It's no surprise that Mou is leaving but will he definitely go to Chelsea or not? Could he even end up at city?

It's Chelsea or PSG. Begiristain and Soriano aren't fans of Mourinho.

Rumour for City is if something goes wrong in getting Pellegrini then Benitez is their second choice.

Ooooh I do so hope its PSG. Zlatan will deck him.

Barcelona vice-president Carles Vilarrubi tells Catalunya Radio of Jose Mourinho's departure from Real Madrid at the end the of the season: "Now I can say it, Mourinho has been a scourge. Seeing him leave is a positive for Spanish football because he had created a negative atmosphere."

Cant disagree with that.

Professor Moriarty -> RE: European football (21/5/2013 11:42:41 AM)

Football Ramble fans in particular and fans of Romanian football in general will be pleased to hear that the slightly controversial Gigi Becali fined 421K and sentenced to 3 years in prison for corrupt land dealings.

Rinc -> RE: European football (21/5/2013 6:22:13 PM)

Love his rants, hopefully will hear just as many from prison. [:)]

Professor Moriarty -> RE: European football (22/5/2013 3:38:48 PM)

I see Pellegrini used the P word when he left Malaga.

When I was a lad, a project was something you did for school over a weekend. Now it's managing Man City.

Harry Tuttle -> RE: European football (22/5/2013 3:53:07 PM)

Yeah the use of project in fooball winds me up almost as much as the use of the word journey on things like X-Factor and BGT.

OPEN YOUR EYES -> RE: European football (22/5/2013 4:34:25 PM)

Oh great.Not another "project".

==================
well,well,well.Look who's out of the CL final.Already doing his next club some favors.

Saltire -> RE: European football (24/5/2013 12:11:46 AM)

It doesn't bother me in the slightest tbh.

Flatulent_Bob -> RE: European football (24/5/2013 9:10:10 AM)

Good news on the Europa League winners being given entry into the Champions League.
My only negative is that it should be both finalists, with the winners straight into the group stages.

Now they just need to sort the format out and it might actually be a competition you can setup to win while competing domestically.
Great news for the chasing pack who now have a better chance of breaking the top four via targeting this trophy as a way into the other teams earning bracket.

Wonder if a couple of the teams who turned down the fair play entry will think again if this is confirmed today?

UEFA in sensible move shocker!

Won't worry anyone next year, it only comes in from 2015.

I've not read the details, does this mean that the PL could have 5 participants in the CL (first 4 and EL winner if we had one)?
