Post your comments on this article

durelius -> (16/7/2012 7:47:21 PM)

Cool stuff, Janes' version is the best produced so far.

Schimchs -> RE: (16/7/2012 8:06:39 PM)

Awesome, really well put together. Hope it stays online for a while longer

messiah1967 -> Awesome!! (16/7/2012 8:06:59 PM)

Very good, I loved it! Why couldn't TJ's first film be that cool?

GALLYMOO -> Good audition for Death wish! (16/7/2012 8:13:20 PM)

Johnathan Hensleigh should of got tips of this guy....although the beginning reminded me of 'Out For Justice'

Nickwantstowork -> Possible TV show? (16/7/2012 8:25:40 PM)

Pretty good, Thomas Jane would have made a good Reacher!! wonder if this is intended to test the water for a TV pilot?

Shifty Bench -> RE: Possible TV show? (16/7/2012 8:28:16 PM)

Taken from Frank's thread but I thought I'd also put it here-

That was some Punisher Max stuff there, that was great

Hope he does more of these.

I like quoting myself [:D]

sanchia -> RE: Possible TV show? (16/7/2012 9:38:32 PM)

It was a shame that the film was not up to that level.

Bliff -> Welcome back Frank (16/7/2012 11:29:47 PM)

That was awesome, always liked Jane as the Punisher even if the film wasn't up to scratch. I'd love to see him reprise the role on the big screen...failing that a few more shorts wouldn't hurt.

kristof07 -> (17/7/2012 12:29:36 AM)

Yep, that's what we need. The Punisher was all about the extreme stuff. This was great. I thought ripping off The Dark Knight's music actually was to it's detriment. More please TJ.

Osric -> RE: (17/7/2012 9:38:39 AM)

Aside from the Batman music and the very brief skull-logo reveal at the end, there's nothing at all in there that would trouble a copyright lawyer (you could have the kid react to what's on the shirt but not actually show the audience - we'd infer what it was and the effect would be pretty much the same). It's a short about Thomas Jane doing his laundry and going vigilante. He uses the word "punishment" but that's not the same as using the word "punisher" and he's never named as Frank Castle. Clever lad.

Osric -> RE: Possible TV show? (17/7/2012 9:55:16 AM)

Wild about Wilder -> RE: Possible TV show? (17/7/2012 10:33:14 AM)

O.M.F.G Thomas Jane is most definetly The Man! [sm=fighting01.gif][sm=icon_smile_pistols.gif][sm=happy07.gif]

earthivory -> Awesome! (17/7/2012 10:47:47 AM)

That was totally awesome!

Nicky C -> That's pretty cool, right there. (17/7/2012 11:14:47 AM)

Punisher's had a hard time on the big screen. Jane's was the best (and Jane is a solid actor if you ask me. He's fantastic in Stander). Always thought James Wan could make a great Punisher after seeing Death Sentence, but that's just one man's opinion. I like this short very much. Would pay to see a feature-length version for sure.

blindfold -> The Gossip (17/7/2012 1:13:49 PM)

Dear James White, ok we get, don't be such a kill joy. Empire need to hire more good enthusiast writers, not lawyers.

chris wootton -> (17/7/2012 2:38:35 PM)

I'd like to see him do another Punisher movie.. one that isn't total crap though

nybras -> More, we want More! (17/7/2012 2:45:12 PM)

Spread this around everyone, this rocked!

partybee -> On y'erself Tam! (17/7/2012 3:37:39 PM)

Hope the right people notice and appreciate this. The rights reverted back to Marvel, right?

Nicky C -> Rights went back last year ... (17/7/2012 4:38:06 PM)

... as did the rights for Blade. No doubt, if they want to include those 2 in the cinematic universe they will need to lose their R ratings. But many fans will argue that Punisher without the violence simply isn't Punisher. Maybe they should expand Marvel Knights into it's own alternate universe? That would be sweet. Punisher, Blade and Ghostrider in an alternate Avengers-style dream team (or would that be nightmare team?)

BatSpider -> Thomas Jane IS The Punisher (17/7/2012 5:14:22 PM)

wow, what an excellent surprise! Is he fishing for another Punisher movie? Or maybe Marvel are secretly testing demand for another movie? If so brilliant job. Jane must be in his 40s, which is prolly Castle's age in the comics, so still perfect. The original movie was great despite it's flaws, mainly coz of Jane: "God's going to sit this one out!" haha!
Castle is the yin to the superhero yang, and would be awesome seeing him guest star in another Marvel movie. Yes please to another Punisher movie (but only with Jane)!

natman_begins -> Sequel? (17/7/2012 6:16:07 PM)

That felt very Chris Nolan for some reason, i hope there's a sequel to Thomas Janes Punisher because that was truly spectacular.

rich -> RE: Sequel? (17/7/2012 6:34:45 PM)

Music is way too out of place

Ciaran McNulty -> RE: Thomas Jane's Punisher Short Online (17/7/2012 7:18:15 PM)

So glad to see Tom Jane in that role again. Welcome back, Frank.

roobear33 -> Love it! (17/7/2012 8:28:55 PM)

Short and to the point, i want more!

jaysusthealmighty -> (17/7/2012 8:46:01 PM)

Did I just see the awesome Ron Pearlman? I can't picture he, not to mention the others, doing this just for fun and the hell of it. Besides, they are seasoned actors, they'd surely know the risk of using copyrighted music and scores and the like.

There has got to be more to this.

sonofliberty1 -> What? (17/7/2012 8:59:50 PM)

No mention of Ron Perlman as the shopkeeper!
Shocking.

darkhart -> Nolan, Jane, Stevenson (17/7/2012 10:53:32 PM)

Maybe this is a sly nod to Nolan taking over a new Punisher movie. After all Nolan does deal well with the dark, real, vengeance, retribution stuff. Jane, I like ya.. but you are not right for the role.. stevenson fit the character much better... curious to see where this is going!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

griff0001 -> One tough Bottle (18/7/2012 4:37:35 PM)

What a truly tough bottle of jd.....a few smacks around some heads, then launched like a missile into someones face, smashing to the ground and still not damaged. Thats just the bottle; i would hate to think how strong the drink is :)

st3veebee -> RE: One tough Bottle (19/7/2012 11:31:01 AM)

Really enjoyed that, except for the rubbish cgi blood. Love a mini series or antoerh Punisher film that holds no punches. If Perlman is there too then they could strike gold.
