So looking forward to this. Is the CG provided by Weta? The reason I ask is that they did some preliminary concept work on a proposed Evangelion movie some years ago and obviously this fits into that genre (as well as stuff like Rah Xephon etc.) GDT was making the Hobbit at one point and the Evangelion movie was scrapped, so I'm wondering if Pacific Rim has been born out of Weta's relationship with GDT and their prelim work for Evangelion. If this movie works then I think a lot of anime geeks are going to get very excited, and hopefully we will see more giant robot pictures in the future.
