ORIGINAL: evilpickle4 ... Schwing!! On a serious note, with the release date in Oct 2012, and the note above stating that there is "still a chance for cast members to parachute in", that this film will not have the half-arsed rushed feeling of QOS. Bond deserves better. Still one of the cinema moments of 2012 though. Bond always is. I agree that SKYFALL should (and I believe will) be special, but I just wanted to take issue the characterization of QOS as "half assed". I think the film was fully assed; everyone was doing their damndest to make it work, it's just that they ran into the constraints of the writer's strike, and that was a very tough hurdle for the production. Craig and Foster (who doesn't even speak English as his first language) were on set every day trying to rewrite bits and pieces of dialog themselves, restructure scenes, as they were the only people allowed to do so by union rules. EON did their best with QOS and I think it's clear their heart was in the right place - but between the strike and MGM's struggles, it was just a very hard time to be in the BOND MOVIE business. Anyway, It's a unique film in Bond history, dealing so directly with the events of the film that preceded it, and for the record despite feeling that had things shook out differently it could have been even better, it's still undeniably one of my favorite movies in the franchise. Cheers!
