As I have man-flu, I'm working from home today, so between sessions of exploring on Skyrim, trips to the shop, watching Man vs Food and a few minutes of actual work here and there, I have discovered the game app Draw Something. Now, anyone familiar with Twitter and such may have heard mention of this in recent weeks as 'celebs' discuss their addiction.

So, I've downloaded it to my iPhone and..... yea, I'm kinda addicted. It's essentially Pictionary (I think, I've never actually played Pictionary. What is Pictionary? Is it anything like Draw Something??) and is a lot of addictive fun. It also brought to my attention that in recent years, since the boom in smart phone apps, I've become addicted to a number of piddly little game apps. Draw Something. Bubble Burster. Darts. Hungry Shark and of course, the most famous of all, Angry Birds.

So, anyone else play Draw Something?

Any recommendations for other addictive game apps to play on the throne?

Should this thread be in 'Joypad'?? I fear it should, but if it is it will only really be visited by the true geeks...

just started playin Draw Something, and i share your addiction, I'm however on an Android and i dont get any notifications when its my turn so i'm constantly having to open teh game and close it again to see if its my turn!

In fairness the trip to the shop was relatively quick and was in order to buy some milk to keep me brews for the remainder of the afternoon.

Oh, and to get some red wine to help unwind tonight after a hard days graft. [:D]

I used to play Bejeweled Blitz all the time, particularly on the can. It kinda took over so I gave it a rest. Not sure I can bring myself to play it again, as that's another few hours evaporated!

Seriously though, I'm virtually undefeatable at FRUIT NINJA. I have not played in a few months, but when I was on the top of my game, I'd constantly get sore losers backing out of the match in the last 5 seconds, or in the first 10 if I took an early lead. If those people didn't cheat, my ranking would be even higher.

I developed and honed a secret Kata that I've encorporated into my Fruit Ninjitsu, and it makes it only possible to beat me if *I* screw up, basically. If I get over eager I might lose, but if I just stick with my katas, then it's hard to not win.

I couldn't sleep last night waiting for some random username to guess my attempt at drawing a Walrus (I checked this morning, they got it [:)])

I play Bejewelled Blitz but not very good at it. I just started playing Draw Something yesterday and I love it. Username is 'robbiefowler' if anyone wants to add me.

Temple Run is addictive and even when the addictiveness wanes slightly, it's still a good game to go back to. I haven't played Angry Birds in months and even then it was my other half who played it more. Fruit Ninja I like as it's something mindless to play when I'm lying bed trying to sleep. Rail Maze is also quite fun but it gets to a level and its completely impossible. I was quite addicted to Guitar Hero for a while but haven't played it in ages.

I have recently downloaded a game called hot doughnut. You play, surprisingly, a doughnut, and have to speed through runs etc. Very addictive once you get the technique down. I recommend it.
