I'm giving this a miss. I don't need to know how he became damaged and who is mother is, and I don't want to. It'll ruin the original film. Not to mention the fact that NO-ONE can play Norman Bates as well as Anthony Perkins.

This sounds like another pointless waste of time. Can't they just leave it alone? The first Physho is an absolute classic that should've been left alone and this idea should be abandoned!

Classics are always a magnet for hacks to mess around with and screw up. 52 years on and they're still trying to milk money out of this. Seems like a mix of greed and desperation. They clearly don't understand that if you "explain" horror, it isn't scary anymore.
