I totally agree he's a pretty poor actor (although he wasn't bad in The Town), but why do you actually hate him? Is it just for his acting ability or a different reason?


It's just an irrational hatred TBH, i just find him a bit arrogant and two dimensional ( but i think it's some thing to do with people who seem too toothy and look as if they have tonnes of drool in their mouths at all times) . BUT i haven't seen his direction, so maybe a delve may quiet my bile [:D]

(I hope Stephen Lang's intention was to play him as a complete sleazeball cunt hiding behind the fact he was reporter and as such entitled him, rather sadistically, to try and intrude on a good cops life) I have rarely been happier after seeing what happened to him in the film

Sticking with Lecktor themed movies (have always preferred that spelling and always preferred Brian Cox to Hopkins)

Despite what the cast manage to convince his son of in the main plot, the fact remains that Maurice's last words to his son were to call him a disappointment. Whoever played Peter Teleborian in The Girl Who Played With Fire/Kicked The Hornet's Nest did a fantastic job of being an evil bastard, too. In fact, almost every man in those movies that isn't Mikael are detestable individuals.

Sebastian Shaw in X-Men: First Class.

Those are of course just a few from movies from the last few years. There are plenty of others.

Isn't that the point of this thread? Villains that you actually hate because the actor who played them did such a good job at playing them? I nearly boo every time I watch the movie during his first scene, because he's so casually evil. I loved Kevin Bacon's performance.
