This is not I hate Episode III forum. Episode III rocked and is better than most films last year like King Kong (which was good, but too long) and serenity, which was shite. Oh god you lot have got me going on about Star Wars now. Well, if it was crap why did it make the most money last year.

Squall Katsuragi -> RE: What's the worst line of dialogue in a film? (11/2/2006 9:34:44 PM)

Anything from The Matrix Reloaded. I'm not fussy, take your pick.[:D]

Well I'm certainly stumped. Anyone?

We're forgetting the plethora of Arnie vomit inducing lines:
"Stick Around" being my personal favourite - and by favourite I mean hated.

Well, lets see.  Has it made an entry in this thread? NO?

Thought not.

Anyway, back on topic:

Not if anything to say about it, I have.

The day Yoda died and became weird smack-talk man.

Anyone who thinks Hayden Christensen is a bad actor should see Shattered Glass. And the worst direlogue. "I am the Architect. I created the Matrix. I've been waiting for you. You have many questions, and though the process has altered your consciousness, you remain irrevocably human. Ergo some of my answers you will understand, and some of them you will not. Concordantly, while your first question may be the most pertinent, you may or may not realize it is also the most irrelevant".  And everything he says after that.

Um...dude, that's supposed to be the monotonous style of the Architect.  That's his character.  It's completely opposite to the warm, colloquial mannerisms of the Oracle.  It's precise, methodical, efficient and completely without frills.

He's a blank computer program designed almost exclusively for number crunching.

The scene is perfect.

Okay, wet blanket over...please continue to make me laugh... [:D]

The one that makes me cringe every time is the line from The Exorcist:

"It's not your daughter's bed that's the problem...It's her brain!"

Happy Birthday for tomorrow.

Aw...you are too kind Mr. Grady!  Thanks very much!  I'll probably spend my birthday doing what I do with every other birthday...watch a film!

Anyway, after many months, I've been back to these fucking Matrix arguments within our humble fan community...and it's quite a site to see what happens to anti-Matrix fans when they're in fanboy territory [:D]

Well, the point is that I'm quite pumped about watching the whole trilogy again...but I really think I should go to the cinema instead.

I know it's bloody sad, but the friends that I have aren't good for much more than small talk - something that, like Laurel in Jerry Maguire, I seem incapable of doing.  Still, I can put up with it for as long as I'm at lectures, but after about...ooh...five minutes, it just becomes so fecking boring.  I mean, 90% of the conversation is taken up with niceties and conventionalities of conversation when I really just wanna let loose and be myself.  Luckily, I can do that a little better online.  It has all the benefits of real friends, minus the burden of backstabbing over girls...

Gosh, I'm so anti-social...

Fuck it.  Once I start making big budget philistinic Hollywood films, I'll buy friends!  Mwahahahaha!!!  [sm=w00t.gif]

P.S. - My real birthday is on Monday [;)]

Haha...yeah, I went with a mate who dragged me along to Coach Carter, and when we came out of the film, he goes "man, that's the best movie I've ever seen!" [sm=893banghead-thumb.gif] [sm=sad15.gif]

Please do!  In fact, I've just recently finished explaining to a Matrix n00B how Neo's new abilities as revealed in Reloaded and Revolutions work.

Oh, and while we're on the subject, that same friend went with me to see Blade: Trinity.  I staggered out ready to puke at the torture I'd just undergone at seeing one of the coolest comic book adaptations in cinema history be dropped out of a B-52 bomber into a field of fresh rat shit...and he goes "man, that movie was better than Matrix!" [sm=augen14.gif]

Good Lord...it's just occurred to me!  I have to stop seeing films with this jack-off!

I didn't much like the Matrix sequels, but Max is right here. There was nothing wrong with the Architect's dialogue. It was supposed to be the unexctiting words of a walking thesaurus. In fact, I really liked the Architect.

Mike' it did baffle me somewhat.

Mikey C -> RE: What's the worst line of dialogue in a film? (11/2/2006 11:47:20 PM)

It was meant to be baffling though, wasn't it? So you'd go "huh"? Like Neo.

Architect: "Blah blah blah reality pretend simulation concordantly vis-a-vis ergo blah blah"
Neo: "Huh?"
Mikey C "Crikey, what little I did understand has made me want to see the next film, even though I didn't much like this one."

Yeah, the Architect scene was actually my favourite scene of Reloaded.  Very cleverly presented, and super-isolating in its style.  Very cold and unforgiving.

Love it.

Baffle?  What's to baffle?

"I created the Matrix.  I'm an arrogant bastard.  Humanity sucks because you fuckers don't stick to my perfect equations.  I've had to redesign the entire fucking world to allow for anomalies and rejection.  Now you're going to recycle humanity for a sixth time.

What...?

Where are you going?

No, you black-suited motherfucker!  Take the other door!

Damn that Oracle for making you fall in love!

Oh, fuck off then...there's gotta be a better job somewhere back home in the mainframe..."

The main bad line in the LOTR trilogy...

A toss up between "lets hunt some orc" or "Ride with me"

That one has so many connotations.

"They run as if the very whips of their masters were behind them."
