Very much excited about this one; looks promising.

And I guess this is what Peter Morgan is doing now that Bond's been cancelled.  I was a little miffed about that but I won't complain if this is what he's focusing on instead.

Is Oldman Smiley?

danielcharlwood -> Brilliant (9/7/2010 12:40:40 PM)

This sounds like a classic already.. Let's hope they don't muck it up

The Bantam Menace -> Keep it old school (9/7/2010 1:11:24 PM)

I do hope this isn't reimagined as some modern day anti-terrorist thingy, and they keep it Cold War. Preferably with Alfredson's excellent eye for a moody early eighties look a la Let The Right One In.

Definitely a must-see.

Fantastic cast and crew...can't wait to see them all together. Gary Oldman doesn't get enough work in my opinion...

Sounds good. I keep on meaning to read the book, but still have a small pile of thrillers on my desk (Greenmantle, The Spy Who Came In From The Cold, The Day of the Jackal) to get through. Terrific cast, it's nice to see slow-burning thrillers (Girl With The Dragon Tattoo recently) coming back in vogue. Explosions are of course brilliant, but a little variety never hurt.

Sphinx -> Please Gaz (13/7/2010 9:05:55 PM)

Be a good guy, not an old-fashioned cardigan fuddy-duddy and not a toff either but for once ditch bad and be cool-good
