DONOVAN KURTWOOD -> movies that you wish would get a blu ray release! (26/5/2010 5:54:39 PM)

One word: Torque. Why no Blu Ray Release? (and dont say it's because it's crap, countless crap movies ahve been released on BD). It's one of my favourite movies and i would LOVE to see it in high def! I look and look and can't find anything about a blu ray release which makes me sad.

Share with me as i crave Torque's release and let us know what else you're dying for on BD that is yet to be announced.

I'm hoping Tony Scott will release the rest of his films on Blu Ray. Revenge has a great transfer and commentary and it would be great to see The Last Boy Scout and The Fan get a release with commentary too.

warners release great run of 90s action movies but all we got we're vanilla discs whether on dvd or blu ray.

add 'tango/cash', 'under siege', 'executive decision' and 'demolition man' to the list.

coolstar -> RE: movies that you wsih would get a blu ray release! (27/5/2010 4:28:31 PM)

There are still alot of films out there on dvd that still need a SE treatment

adambatman82 -> RE: movies that you wsih would get a blu ray release! (27/5/2010 4:31:34 PM)

Godard's Week-End deserves a better release than the bare-bones dvd it has.

You will be pleased to see that Revenge has already been released to Blu Ray in America on a region FREE Blu Ray. Its the directors cut & has a LPCM 5.1 soundtrack & commentary with Scott. Last Boy Scout will be released to Blu Ray in July on a double film set with Last Man Standing. I'm not sure if there will be any extras or what Region Code it will be but if its the same as all the other Warner double boxsets (such as Frantic & Presumed Innocent) it will be region free with no extras. Hope I have been of help.

A Bittersweet Life.

Back to the Future (The trilogy obviously) That scene, at the end of part two, in which Marty gets a letter from Doc must be amazing in HD. The intense rain, drops on the letter, an enigmatic man with a hat.

Sure it is.

Another movie I'd like to come out on Blu is Glengarry Glen Ross since the DVD was quite poor (Stereo sound Vs DTS sound in the USA edition).

Classic [:D]

DancingClown -> RE: movies that you wsih would get a blu ray release! (24/6/2010 3:46:38 PM)

Stand By Me. Could look even more beautiful.

coolstar -> RE: movies that you wsih would get a blu ray release! (24/6/2010 5:34:01 PM)

THE STAR WARS TRILOGY

James2183 -> RE: movies that you wsih would get a blu ray release! (27/6/2010 11:18:40 AM)

Grosse Pointe Blank. It was given a horrible DVD release and deserves a lot better.

sanchia -> RE: movies that you wsih would get a blu ray release! (27/6/2010 11:31:14 AM)

I would say that Last of the Mohicans should get a release. There seems to be a Region 1 release but as far as I can tell we are still waiting for one over here.

Cruisecontroller -> RE: movies that you wsih would get a blu ray release! (8/7/2010 12:20:01 PM)

The Mad Max Trilogy would look great on blu ray and will probably get one with hopefully extra`s when the remake comes out.

coolstar -> RE: movies that you wsih would get a blu ray release! (8/7/2010 1:16:56 PM)

Everything that is out on dvd will not even make it to blu ray

MAD MAX 2 looks absolutely stunning on blu-ray. The only cool extra is the George Miller & Dean Semler commentary. I hope that someday all three do get a proper release.

mel's silly behaviour at present the only obstacle to that happening.
don't hold breathe for 'lethal weapon' boxset either.

I'm not sure it'll be much of an obstacle - People still go and see Roman Polanski films despite what he did!
