And the title of Muse's new album is... The Resistance!

It was revealed on the band's Twitter page. So far, one song has been confirmed, and it's called United States of Eurasia.

Anyone else excited?

I cannot wait for the new muse album - simply because there will be another tour! The last time i saw them live was one of the best moments of my life.
When they performed 'Time is running out' i was in a state of euphoria. It was such an experience.

Hobbitonlass -> RE: Muse: New Album! (22/5/2009 1:11:43 PM)

Did you see them at the new Wembley Stadium Sumint?    Absolutely bloody awesome!!!

thatlittlemonkey -> RE: Muse: New Album! (22/5/2009 1:42:32 PM)

I was there on the Sunday. I fully agree! New Muse material and a tour is a very good thing.

Karl Crutchley -> RE: Muse: New Album! (22/5/2009 2:38:21 PM)

Muse at Wembley Sunday 17th June 2007 was possibly the best gig I have ever been to

I was in "The Pit" on the right side of the walkway, down at the front.
It was ace.

And it had a better line up than the Saturday - Shy Child, Biffy Clyro & My Chemical Romance

A new album is a big thumbs up from me

parsonage84 -> RE: Muse: New Album! (22/5/2009 9:05:38 PM)

I was there on the Saturday, best gig i been to, support wasnt great, but Muse were just amazing

Plus the backstage tickets were good too[:D]

Na i saw them in Wembley Arena the November before, when the Noisettes opened- i really wanted to go to the Wembley Stadium gig, but it was slap bang in the middle of my alevel exams. Me and my friend were about to buy tickets, but then i felt guilty and then guilted my friend into not going.

I kind of regret that now seeing as i dropped out of the uni i tried so hard to get into. If i knew i had a spare year...[:D]

When i do see them live, i really hope they play Feeling good, or Newborn, Bellemy didn't play the piano the whole gig which i was abit annoyed about - but nonetheless, it was still the best gig of my life.

tommyjarvis -> RE: Muse: New Album! (23/5/2009 11:43:10 AM)

Meh.

I presume, as with the other albums, it'll have two or three great songs and a lot of filler.

Ah the Noisettes, they were so shit when I seen Muse at the SECC.

Feeling Good and Newborn were awesome live!

I disagree, while they have 2-3 great singles on them the rest is usually very good when listened to as an album.  But hey you are welcome to disagree.  man these threads would be dull otherwise.

muse album is great innit!

yeah I think its great too!
me too!
so anyone got anything to say?

Jackie Boy -> RE: Muse: New Album! (25/5/2009 10:32:37 PM)

I actually prefer their more obscure stuff although some of their singles are pretty damn good. Invincible's my favourite to date.

Pigeon Army -> RE: Muse: New Album! (30/5/2009 4:08:32 AM)

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!

Tay -> RE: Muse: New Album! (31/5/2009 12:33:35 AM)

I look forward to hear more musical experimentation from Muse, I've their albums pretty much amazing - but not had the experience of seeing 'em live yet...

Olaf -> RE: The Resistance Tour (1/6/2009 10:03:42 PM)

I'm a Muse fan (really like their second and third albums), but the last one was distinctly underwhelming. Hoping this one is a return to form, Bellamy went just a tad too far up his own arse on Black Holes And Revelations.

I think the opening and the closing track are immense though.

Yeah, that's true. Knights of Cydonia is a great track, but there's way too much filler on that record.

Sumintelligentguy -> RE: The Resistance Tour (4/6/2009 10:36:32 AM)

will be up at 8.30 trying to secure tickets for myself.

Olaf -> RE: The Resistance Tour (4/6/2009 10:42:53 AM)

I was thinking of going but I'm a bit disappointed that it's an indoor show really, I think they'd be best in the big huge stadium environment.

Sumintelligentguy -> RE: The Resistance Tour (4/6/2009 11:16:31 AM)

but seeing them live at wembley arena was one of the best experiences of my life...
though i do wish i saw them at wembley stadium - damn a levels.

i think i'm gona see them in sheffield this time - do ticketmaster accept debit card?

It's a small tour this year. Maybe it'll be stadium gigs next summer.

Olaf -> RE: The Resistance Tour (4/6/2009 11:27:53 AM)

Credit card only, I think.
I definitely wouldn't say no to seeing them in an indoor show (jealous you got to see them btw..), it's only after watching the HAARP DVD that I can only really picture them in a venue like that.

Rinc -> RE: The Resistance Tour (4/6/2009 2:14:11 PM)

I'll be up to try to get some for Friday 13th at the o2.

Sumintelligentguy -> RE: The Resistance Tour (4/6/2009 4:17:05 PM)

yer i think friday the 13th is when my mates and i have decided to go - London is like the go to place - One of my mates is travelling from cumbria, me from leicester and my other mate from Epsom.

I hope i get my tickets.

losthighway -> RE: The Resistance Tour (4/6/2009 5:05:38 PM)

I don't like Muse's earlier albums - great music ruined by Bellamy's voice - however their last effort, Black Holes and Revelations, was immense and my fave album of that year. I'm really hoping my mate secures us tickets tomorrow morning for this new tour because I'd really like to see them on the basis of that one album!

As for the new album, it features orchestras a lot from what i've read, so i'm hoping it's gonna be another epic like BH&R!

Rinc -> RE: The Resistance Tour (5/6/2009 9:14:58 AM)

Just tried getting tickets and failed. I could have got Upper Tier ones on the 12th or 13th but i'm not paying that amount of money to be so far from the action. What i'm wondering is where did all the tickets go? I got through to the ticket page at about 8.58 no problems and all that were available were Upper Tier, on both nights! So how many were on presale because Ticketmaster really wasn't very busy and i got through the ticket pages without having to wait. Where did all the thousands of tickets go?!

Sumintelligentguy -> RE: The Resistance Tour (5/6/2009 3:51:51 PM)

Same here rinc, i was offered seated tickets for the 13th but i, or none of my friends would want to sit down and watch muse after having such a good time standing last time.

I was trying, hungover, for 40mins - to no avail...gutted.

losthighway -> RE: The Resistance Tour (5/6/2009 6:03:19 PM)

There must have been some sort of presale or they are holding back a fuck load of production tickets. My mate tried to get us standing for Sheffield and at 9.28am she had text and said they appeared to be all sold out. Sure enough, I've just checked and lower tier and standing are all sold out. She said they were actually showing as all gone by 9.05am!!!

Some major fuck up somewhere me thinks. [8|]
