bronco3114 -> Who's that guy... (10/3/2009 4:59:35 PM)

...from Anchorman as the station chief and was also the dean/principal in Harold and Kumar Get the Munchies who interviewed Kumar. Always does great comedy cameo turns.

beebs_ -> Hey, it's that guy! (10/3/2009 5:12:30 PM)

I remember the website...

http://www.fametracker.com/hey_its_that_guy/

DLE 78 -> RE: who's that guy... (10/3/2009 5:44:25 PM)

I believe that's Fred Willard.

Stay classy.

cruyffneeskens -> Steven Culp (10/3/2009 5:57:09 PM)

At the risk of sounding pedantic, Steven Culp was RFK in Thirteen Days, not JFK.

Tokkas100 -> Ok be honest..... (10/3/2009 6:02:12 PM)

who else covered up the names and tried to guess who they were?
I forgot Steven Culp's name, even though I was watching him in the West Wing the other day, and have no idea who the actress from Gossip Girl is?
So 48, not too shabby, oh 47 and a half, I called Wilford Brimley, Wilford Brimble.
Note to self: Must get life.......

film_fan_3000 -> Catherine O'Hara? (10/3/2009 6:55:54 PM)

She certainly has NO buisness being on this list. She's one of Hollywood's most talented and respected (if inconsistent) actresses. Bit weird. Good job on the list though. :D

Giddysamurai -> Željko Ivanek (10/3/2009 7:04:59 PM)

He seems to be in everything I watch! I cannot believe he was not in this list.

cunnaw -> William Fichtner (10/3/2009 7:41:01 PM)

I know he only has small roles in films, but he really is one of my favourite actors and should definitely land a larger role in the near future - he was good in Crash too!

Jasper -> If you add Peter Weller... (10/3/2009 10:57:31 PM)

... then every single actor from Robocop would be included.

uheiberg -> this is fucking dumb (10/3/2009 10:59:11 PM)

william fichtner, danny trejo, cathrine o'hara, david morse, luis guzman, j.t. walsh, wes studi, kurtwood smith, miguel ferrer, bob gunton, barry corbin, j.k. simmons, daniel stern, bruce mcgill, kevin dunn, jeffrey jones, michael rappaport, jeffrey tambor? come on!! people who actually know anything about cinema should know who these people are, and I kinda feel insulted empire! you're so holier-than-thou!!

Suzy R -> (10/3/2009 11:42:46 PM)

Seriously, if you don't know at least 45-50 of these people, what do you do as soon as the credits roll....leave? Call yourself a film fan? Thanks for including so many of my faves, but where was Maury?

Who_me -> fab! (11/3/2009 12:01:41 AM)

Firstly, I can see how someone has seemed to miss the point of the feature....Empire know they are all known actors but the idea of not being recognised in the media on a daily basis in comparison to others is why this feature helps bring them into their own bit of spotlight, no need to bring the tone down with the not so creative use of language.
Back to it now....this is a great feature to identify all the people we love to watch and have gotten to know so well through many different films&TV series!

somekindof_battery -> Dale Dye (11/3/2009 12:21:39 AM)

How can you miss this guy out? He plays a military figure in everything - i've yet to see a secret conference room during a terrorist takeover where he hasn't sat in and given his 2 cents on the matter.

johnny99 -> (11/3/2009 2:16:41 AM)

http://www.cracked.com/article_15074_20-best-that-guys-all-time.html

Same idea, funnier article.

grucl -> RE: (11/3/2009 7:33:36 AM)

Erm, could you include the names of the person yo're referring to? This gets confusing...

I missed at least 2 guys on that list:

Rex Linn (the psycho FBI guy in Cliffhanger)

Fred Dalton Thompson (aiport tower chief in Die Hard 2, Navy captain in Hunt for red October)

gareth_082 -> My Top 5 (11/3/2009 9:31:36 AM)

1) William Fichtner - Prison Break, Invasion, Black Hawk Down, Go, Heat, Armageddon, Dark Knight.
2) Alan Dale - Neighbours, 24, Ugly Betty, Indiana Jones '08, Lost
3) Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje - Lost, Oz, Bourne Identity, Mummy Returns, Ace Ventura 2, New GI Joe film.
4) Paul Schulze - Sopranos, Oz, 24, Rambo '08, Law & Order
5) John C McGinley - Scrubs, Platoon, The Rock, Seven, Point Break, Any Given Sunday

wombathog -> The Iron Side (11/3/2009 9:42:10 AM)

Why does Michael Ironside invariably play someone who has lost or loses various body parts so often?

Anduril666 -> (11/3/2009 10:01:38 AM)

Nice to see Lost getting some love, and Empire noting just how good Alan Dale is in that. For evidence, check out Ben and Widmore's scene in season 4!

DanBarnes501 -> fact fans (11/3/2009 10:40:15 AM)

Regarding the claim on Larry Miller's page (45) that Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane launched Ryan Reynolds ' career, unless this was via some uncredited cameo I think Empire have confused this with Two Guys, a girl and a Pizza Place (also starring Nathan Fillion). Zoe.. did however arguably launch the careers of Selma Blair and Michael Rosenbaum (Lex from Smallville)

Loader -> RE: That Guy From That Thing (11/3/2009 11:03:12 AM)

Catherine keener anyone? anyone??

mia_2009 -> What happened to... (11/3/2009 11:22:06 AM)

Keith David? John Heard? Zelko Ivanek? Joe Pantoliano? Delroy Lindo? Veronica Cartwright?

Taz69 -> Aw you forgot Tony Todd (11/3/2009 11:48:16 AM)

He was Candyman in the horror trilogy and been in every USTV show in the last 20 years from every Star Trek show (bar the original of course), Law ands Order, CSI etc. He's also in this season's 24 - as is Kurtwood Smith and Bob Gunton.
Alan Dale was also in an episode of Torchwoods season 2, but he can be a comedy character too, he's great in his stint as King Arthur in Eric Idle's Monty Python musical Spamalot J.K Simmons was the best thing in the Spiderman.movies - by miles.

davejoyce -> Should have William Atherton in there (11/3/2009 12:00:12 PM)

For Ghostbusters and Die Hard alone ;)

Charlie1234 -> Lazy!! (11/3/2009 12:15:33 PM)

Have you never seen the unfortunately discontinued site:

Did it so much better

waltham1979 -> OutBreak (11/3/2009 12:22:12 PM)

JT Walsh's speech as President in Out Break was absolutely superb - short but brilliant !!

theblackwhisper -> Where the hell was Bill Cobbs!?!??! (11/3/2009 12:47:27 PM)

Seriously, the dudes been in more films than Jason Biggs has been given onscreen sex lectures!

jameswhaleofatime -> where the hell is (11/3/2009 1:37:59 PM)

Brad Dourif?!

kinkykeeks -> RE: where the hell is (11/3/2009 1:44:30 PM)

I don't think people count Brad Dourif after Lord of the Rings' Wormtongue. He's not really a 'That Guy From That Thing' anymore, he's 'That Creepy Guy From Lord Of The Rings' instead
