I've been playing these games for years and recently talking to one of my mates at new year he was telling me all about the new stuff in FM09 and how much it had changed since the good old days of Championship Manager 2 from the mid 90's. I have some brilliantly embarrassing stories and I'm sure you all do to so come on lets talk about the old times and the new.

I'm thinking about Blackburn and Sunderland - they don't have managers on this, due to Ince and Keano leaving. But I do like the lower league teams. BUT I need to win. And I have no good tactics. Conundrum of the highest order.

On Football manager 08, i sussed that the formation to win everything was to play 4-1-1-2-2. Worked like a charm. But it doesn't seem to work on this one, so I'm out of ideas.

Got FM08 last year and was bored within two weeks. I am all for expansion but there was just too much to take care of in the game and it made it a lot less fun to be a part of. I still play CM 01/02 regulary though.

I've got FM06, couldn't get into it. CM01 was a different matter though, I was addicted to that game. I recall playing as Chelsea to winning everything until my top goalscorer (Ebbe Sand, a bargain in that game) went mental in the Champions League final. Seriously, he pushed refs, started a fistfight, received a twelve month ban. Good times.

I've just done my 8th title in a row with Celtic, Greece and Czech Rep keep offering me the managerial position I'm waiting on Argentina or Brazil to come knocking. Spain at a push.
