Just a quick note to say how excellent this series has been. Anyone who hasn't seen it, the only way I can describe it is like the Office crossed with Grange Hill. Its cringeworthy embarassing at times but never dull - cant wait for a second series. Quick question though - why have channel 4 seemed to have dumped it tonight in favour of Desperate Housewives and is it on a different night instead?

I saw the first series a while back and really loved it. The ad's for it didn't do it justice at all it was much funnier than I thought it was going to be. I avoided it at first but caught an epsiode one night when there was nothing else on and was totally surprised by it. I hope they do a second series but I ave a feeling it'll just get bumped around until people give up with it. For anyone who hasn't seen it it's definitely worth checking out.

Happened upon this whilst flicking through my mate's On Demand, after it failed to register when it was first on. Ended up watching the entire series in one sitting, and was surprised at how funny it turned out to be. And, in a crass, potty-mouthed way, it's actually quite sweet as well. Can't wait for the second series.

I accidentally stumbled across this the other nite too, and I must say it was bloody marvellous. Think I may just rent the series 1 DVD's, if any come out/are out. The Office mixed with Grange Hill is a good comparison. In fact, one of the guys plays the role as if its a young version of the Tim character from the office - his use of the word 'Brilliant' when someone says something unfunny or bad is identical, and he looks a bit like him too. What nite is it that this is being repeated on E4?

Brought this on DVD after a friends recommendation a while back, it's fantastic, the line delivery by the four leads is spot-on. Granted it's totally crass and completely juvenile but I couldn't help but laugh like a seal throughout. "Please don't wank over my mum!" "Can't promise that I'm afraid!"

it was being shown on channel 4 on wednesday's. Tonight would have been the 5th episode but its disappeared due to bloody desperate housewives [:@]

It's currently being repeated on E4, Thursday nights at 11. All I can say is "Bumder" Episode 2 was on last night and I haven't laughed out loud at the tv like that in a long long time. Highlights were Will's verbal attack on the "gay" dad, and Simon's exorcist impression on Carly's brother. Brilliant. Highly recommend it. Eerily similar to a lot of young men's lives too.

I missed this when it was first aired, and rented the DVD on a recommendation. Can't wait for a 2nd series!

Just read, ABC want to make an American version. How could that work, no swearing, limited references, it'd just suck something awful. Second series should be on within the next few months I hear.

Randomly checked out an episode on 4OD the other night, ended up watching the first half of the series. Really funny. Will's responses to the badge/briefcase insults in the first episode just killed me off. Great stuff.

I'm so glad this is back. Love it, love it, love it. Watched last night and throughly enjoyed it. I love the really harsh teacher in it he get's me crying with laughter.

Channel hopping I caught an epi of this last night. Personally I found it godawfully unoriginal and pretty generally woeful, but I do have one query and I wonder if fans know if this has been raised? Given the lead character I saw last night is a blatant rip-off of Adrian Mole - look, character, manner of speech, attitude, the lot - has Sue Townsend sued? Or are they relying on it being a new generation of young people who aren't familiar with the character being ripped off?

I had thought of it like that, but he is. [:D] That would be hard to prove in court though. The Inbetweeners is quite funny, but it's basically 30mins of people saying 'bum', 'cock', 'wank' etc...which is hardly comedy genius. Puerile is the word, so it's ether quite clever (in a self-referential, just give the audience what they want way) or very one note.

I think one of the reasons I like it is that, unlike Skins, this feels pretty close to what school was actully like for most people, incluing the swearing. I could barely breathe from laughing so hard last night when the guy was getting the hand job and got his arse kicked by a twleve year old.
