Yeah I was surprised by any sequel to XXX considering the first was utter drek and didn't exactly set records at the box office.

Am I the only who thinks Vin should call it a day? He's returning to 2 of 3 attempted franchises (the 3rd being Pitch Black which was already killed off by the Ridicules of Chronic) that launched him to kick start his career. That just smacks of desparation.

Surely by now he's made enough money to instead perhaps take smaller roles in better films rather than persistently headline as an action hero in total dross. It's a shame because Saving Private Ryan and Pitch Black both showed he could be very good. Fast and Furious was dumb fun but I think it really should have ended there.

Plus; Rob Cohen directing again? I really wish he would retire, it's a bad sign when your movies are so bad they make Stephen Somers look good (The Mummy franchise of course). Man, they're not even giving this one a chance are they?

When at actor returns to a sequel after a long while (Die Hard 4, Rambo 4, Indiana Jones 4, etc) it usually means that their career hasn't worked out and they're trying to jump start it.

XXX Was a surprisingly fun action flick despite its dumbness.XXX2 is one of the most unintentionally funny movies ever.I like the idea of a XXX3 with Diesel.If anything it will be fun how they explain away the fact that hes supposed to be dead In XXX2.

Two More Riddick Films Coming?


Would a studio really, REALLY throw money at another Riddick movie????? It's destined to bomb, and i actually enjoyed the first one, but the feact remains, hardly anybody likes it and it didn't set the world alight.  I've heard Diesel talking about it sure, but it's not his money, and i would be very suprised if another got greenlit, let alone two!!!!

After Vin Diesel turned down XXX2, the plan was to have a different actor play a new XXX in each new film. That plan was abandoned after XX2 flopped.

That's exactly what I meant.

I remember reading the plans to have a new XXX with each film too and some scary rumour was that the 3rd XXX would be a woman. Interesting idea until the producer talking it up said something along the lines of "..yeah, a Michelle Rodriguez type" and I just stopped reading there and then.

Still, maybe after this one fails the producers will be asking Ice Cube and Lee Tamahori to come back

despite being credited with that, i didn't type it, that was Mason Verger. I rememebr reading about a XXX woman, but its a terrible idea, it would flop just like every female led action movie, or almost every one

Not only is it mentioned he died in xXx 2 but there's a short Film on the xXx DVD showing Vin Diesel (well his stunt double) being blown the fuck up with the neck tattoo hitting the screen minus the rest of his body so I assume that means he's dead. Unless he went to extremes to remove the tattoo...

Still I like both xXx & xXx 2 so this is good news in my book. The more Vin Diesel the better because Babylon A.D was ace. Another Riddick Film is what we really need though.

Well, each to their own Scott. A new XXX could be good if done properly (by which I mean much, much better than the last 2) because there's always enough room in the world for more spy flicks.

As for Riddick...enough. Pitch Black was excellent as a standalone film but CoR was rubbish. It's a franchise that should stay down. Apart from more computer games; Escape from Butcher Bay was very good.

I think I have finally figured out what Vin Diesel is trying to do.  He's trying to have the exact same career as Arnie and Sly condensed within a 10 year time-frame. 

Firstly start off in roles that get you noticed for your acting ability and be touted as "The Next...".  Secondly, instead of following with this trend by choosing challenging roles, take on testosterone-loaded man-hulk characters which are as deep as Paris Hilton but give you your moment in the sun.  Lastly, once everyone has got bored of this routine and moved on, remind all and sundry that you are actually still alive by jumping aboard a franchise (or three) previously jettisoned to which people had only apathy for after the last instalment anyway.

Vote Diesel for Governor in 2012!  You heard it here first!

When i saw that they were making a sequel to the 2nd xXx where Xander comes back on IMDB, i was soooo happy... love the film and VIN DIESEL... phwaor!! however...

2 things:
1) I'm glad he's back but in the 2nd one, i thought they said he was killed... please PLEASE correct me if i'm wrong on that note
2) Apparently VIN DIESEL... phwaor!! Has pulled out of doing the film... DUN DUN DUNNNNNN!!!
Not good... i don't think they will find an actor good enough to replace VIN DIESEL... phwaor!! as the role of Xander... What do y'all think???
