Shifty Bench -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (21/7/2012 5:06:32 PM)

It made me laugh once (the cat line) which is more than Back To Earth, you're right.

I am still looking forward to it, I love Red Dwarf [:)]

Saltire -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (21/7/2012 6:50:05 PM)

The wheels may be coming off slightly but I'll still watch it [;)]

So much this.

Shifty Bench -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (21/7/2012 9:52:42 PM)

Yeah, I think that is something that is felt by almost all Red Dwarf fans.

Shifty Bench -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (25/8/2012 5:47:54 PM)

There were moments in Series 8, where the character comedy between Lister and Rimmer was back but yeah, since Grant left it just hasn't had that spark that made Red Dwarf so special.

Phubbs -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (26/8/2012 8:36:54 AM)

BIG news for British comedy is the return of Red Dwarf. Snippets and details are now in full flow and its looking fairly reasonable thus far, difficult to tell of course but I won't hold my breath after the last few series.

Still good news for all Dwarfers

Skiba -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (26/8/2012 2:00:29 PM)

I've just started working for UKTV and from what I've heard from those who've been involved with it, they've said it is very good. But then again, I guess they wouldn't say it was shit! [:D]

I'm hoping we'll get a preview screening of it so will let you know if we do!

Yeah, I posted that a couple of posts above yours and the trailer on the previous page [:)]

Skiba -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (29/8/2012 4:12:18 PM)

The boys from The Dwarf are in the office today! Minus the Cat. I heard a familiar voice behind me and Kryten (well, Rob llewyllen walked past my desk!

Saltire -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (30/8/2012 6:29:41 AM)

Wow, nice, I hope you got to your knees and bowed down before them! [;)]

Skiba -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (30/8/2012 8:27:20 AM)

Unfortunately they were locked in a room all day doing press interviews so only got to see them en route to the bog! The girls in the press team who were looking after them said they were all great. And I was talking to one of them last night and she has all the new eps on her computer! So may well get to see them early.

Skiba -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (10/9/2012 11:02:58 PM)

We've got a showcase event tomorrow where there's going to be a screening of the first episode, followed by a Q&A with Chris Barrie...I'll ask what I can and can't reveal tomorrow and let you know!

KnightofZyryab -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (11/9/2012 1:03:30 AM)

Some of this tennis does not exist.

Skiba -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (11/9/2012 1:12:32 PM)

I'm allowed to say that I've seen it, and that I enjoyed it! No spoilers, obviously. Not that I would anyway. I can also say tune in on 4th Oct on Dave...but you already know that! I missed the Q&A with Chris Barrie as I had to go to a preview of a new David Attenborough show we're doing, which was incredible. To hear the man himself give us some great anecdotes was amazing.

New cast photos- click

I quite like Rimmer's new uniform.

boaby -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (11/9/2012 11:59:08 PM)

Lister looks like Slash would if he let himself go and squandered his wealth.

DancingClown -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (12/9/2012 9:20:37 AM)

I really, really hope this is good.

elab49 -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (4/10/2012 9:00:10 PM)

So - have they realised 9 was really poor? Will 10 be worth it?

60 secs to go.

elab49 -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (4/10/2012 9:03:42 PM)

Canned laughter?

DancingClown -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (4/10/2012 9:13:24 PM)

They filmed with an audience. I'm enjoying it, not brilliant yet, but give it time.

elab49 -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (4/10/2012 9:15:26 PM)

Did they? Because the laughter does sound like an on/off switch of the same bit of laughter over and over.

Still - more smiles in the first half than the entire S9 so not bad.

Hood_Man -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (4/10/2012 9:24:15 PM)

This is alright, which is better than I thought it would be [:)]

DancingClown -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (4/10/2012 9:25:44 PM)

Okay, now I'm laughing. [:D]

Hood_Man -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (4/10/2012 9:26:25 PM)

"You were an utter twat!"

There we are, first belly laugh of the night [:D]

elab49 -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (4/10/2012 9:39:02 PM)

Well I enjoyed it - it went back to the character interactions that made it work best. [:)]

DancingClown -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (4/10/2012 9:45:45 PM)

Just what I was thinking.

Not sure about Kryten's new head design, though, his face seemed less expressive.

Private Hudson -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (4/10/2012 9:52:24 PM)

Yeah it was more like Red Dwarf of old. I always think the best Red Dwarf episodes could be set in any genre. Sometimes when they overdo the sci-fi or the production values, something is lost.

Rimmer is still Rimmer, which is great. Wonder how they will explain him kicking the Grim Reaper in the nuts all those years ago?

jcthefirst -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (4/10/2012 10:13:17 PM)

Well, I loved that. The 'lateral thinking' moose gag being my favourite.

elab49 -> RE: Red Dwarf Appreciation Thread (4/10/2012 10:17:50 PM)

Was he Swedish?
