"10-12 year olds don't really know Axel Foley like I did as a kid"... I hope he reaised the paradox of his of hsi statement. The reason we loved Axel Foley as a kids was that we wheren't supposed to be watching him and he was cool, shot guns and mouthed off and swore a lot! What a fucking tool...would respect him more if he just said we want to make it a PG13 to make as much money as posible and rape what's left od Eddie Murphy's legacy. awful news. i had some respect for ratner, rush hour 1 and 2 were wuite entertaining IMO, but 3 was predictable and pretty offensive in some places. X3 wasnt as good as i hoped but

i had warmed up to it, conviincing myself studio pressure fucked it up.

what the fuck does he think he is talking about? he has no clue. forget it, BHC is dead.

I think a lethal weapon 5 would be a bad idea because a balding Mel Gibson & Creaking Danny Glover would not look good on screen no matter how good the script might be. Besides, Mel should stay away from the cameras since he went the way of the Cruise and made a right Pratt of himself in his private life.

If it is a recent picture of Ratner the years haven't been kind as he looks flabby and balding. Very different from a couple of years ago. Anyway. Pointless film but then pretty much everyone knows that.

A lousy PG-13 BHC film. Brilliant. I usually can't stand Ratner but thought this might be sort of his level (is certainly the type of material he could do okay with). But a de-balled and boring Axel Foley holds no interest for me whatsoever. I want to watch Eddie Murphy say f**k in a film again. Say it Eddie! SAY IT!

It´s a horrible, horrible time for movies. Has there ever been a darker chapter for movie audiences in the history of film? They will make an insane amount of money, no matter if this film sucks big time or not, movie audiences are desperate enough to go see it, blinded by their emotions and memories. I myself have just had a traumatic nightmare: They made a fourth Indiana Jones picture with unfunny George Lucas goofy giddiness and a horrible, useless 20 minute introduction. When i woke up I was bathed in sweat, looking up my shelf at the Indiana Jones Trilogy-Box. There they were: three of them. At least Lucas, Spielberg and Ford have some sense. Good that these guys are around, they know what film-making is all about.

I think we all knew this would be the case, Hollywood seems to be scared to make a big budget picture that is over the PG-13 12A rating. It's not that that necessarily will make it a bad film it's when the others in the series before it were hard edged thrillers/action films with adult themes and serious subject matters it kind of makes a mockery of the series.
What they should do is change the name of character and title of the film maybe then we'd give it a chance. It's not like BHC3 was any good anyway 4 is doomed from the outset like Terminator is.

Its official, Hollywood has no balls. A PG-13 Axel Foley, for ten year olds. Which exec on a million a year came up with that? Do they not think that this would make more cash if they just aimed it at the 18-30 market, since ..er, thats who is going to want to watch it. This is Murphys signature role, he could be great again in it. Now they have stuck a banana up his tail pipe. Let the kids have it, give him a CGI squirrel sidekick..see if care. Bastards. Sniff. Sniff.

The last film was shit and the 2nd one doesn't hold pretty well. The first one is a slice of 80's brilliance, Murphy was on fire and it was as funny as hell, BH2 was a tired retread lacking the charm of the original, less said about 3 the better.

Now could things get worse? well yes they could Ratner now PG13, kiss this film goodbye.

Honestly, how many chances does Brett Ratner get??!!
This guys sucks as a director... only surpassed in suckiness by Mark Johnson (who destroyed two great comic book characters)
Who keeeps employing these guys??!!!
There are way better directors around. Honestly: do they only charge minimum wage or something?
