steveg66 -> (15/5/2008 11:58:18 AM)

Ditto the first comment

Bazlurgan -> Ditto (15/5/2008 12:24:48 PM)

Ditto (and I'm sure the same applies to just about everyone else!)

Mr Grizzly -> What's with the second film?.... (15/5/2008 1:04:48 PM)

One word - money!

Halfling -> Read the book!!!! (15/5/2008 1:06:24 PM)

Well, OK, perhaps not the whole thing, but give yourself 10 minutes in Waterstones and check the appendices of LOTR, where you will find a fairly detailed account of the main 'happenings' between the end of The Hobbit, and the beginning of Fellowship. I would assume, and hope, that these notes will form the basic plot of the second film, and THAT is the question I will be submitting to the boys!

steveg66 -> RE: Read the book (15/5/2008 2:23:03 PM)

Have read it ,and not that much happens that would warrant a film. Perhaps they'll go back to some of the earlier stories.

dunner05 -> (15/5/2008 3:19:58 PM)

You've got to at least admire his balls; even if the second film draws from the book's appendices Jackson is still basically writing his own Tolkien, which to the legions of devoted fanboys must be on a par with scripting your own sequel to the bible.

Hughezy -> (15/5/2008 11:05:07 PM)

hang on, there's a new LOTR film coming out? they fairly kept that quiet..... (it's ok, i know that i'm not funny)

boredbluekoala -> Nuff talking, start making!!! (15/5/2008 11:35:42 PM)

By the way, check out the CITY OF EMBER trailer now online at the moviebox.net, it looks way cool.

crazymoviesdude -> RE: Nuff talking, start making!!! (16/5/2008 7:44:12 PM)

Do you guys think empire'll will get hold of the whole conversation, because I cant think of a decent way to document it all, infact i'm sure they will.

moviemaniac-7 -> Once again, two beards are coming together (17/5/2008 5:58:30 AM)

One directing and the other - a director himself - producing. History repeats itself, but this is the age of the Mexi-Kiwi alliance of Men and the Hobbit will rule like a certain ring. But I am damn curious about the second movie.

I'd love a Magnolia. But with Hobbits.
